Heart Game: Hurricane - Run 3

[At first, all is still; all is silent.]

[ She goes back to trying to half-bury as many of these corpses as possible.

[ This just isn't right... and the sight of it is painful. He always feels so warm whenever he visits, so it see it like this... ]

First, he moves over to the picture. While the glass might be broken, he'll try to carefully brush that out so that it doesn't look so pointed and jagged, and will find somewhere to hang it back on the wall.

[When you turn the picture frame over, you can see that it's this family photo of early HSS. Once it was neatly framed and hanging on the wall, but now the glass is shattered, jagged shards spilling across the floor.]

[As soon as your fingertips brush the wood of the frame, a wave of feeling washes through you, so sudden and intense that it takes your breath away. It starts sweet and low, a warm glow somewhere deep in your chest - a sense of belonging, of contentment.]

[It doesn't last. It twists, and lurches sideways, a shock that feels like missing a step in the dark, on a staircase you thought you knew well. There's a hole, suddenly, where all that warmth used to be, and other things rush in to fill it: shame, and a bone-deep disappointment in yourself, and the aching certainty that of course you'd gotten it wrong.]

[When you hang it on the wall again, some of the ache diminishes.]

Maybe you can tidy up the inside? Make sure the food is a little more hidden so nobody can steal it?

. . . It is quite sad. The dorm itself is in shambles, and torn apart in various ways. I am to right some of it at least.

[There do not seem to be any plates in the kitchen; there does not seem to be any kitchen at all.]

[There is no food, either.]

[However, someone has left out a roll of tape on the table.]

This is the best he can do then. He'll gently try to piece some of the plates back together if he can.

He wants to do more... to do SOMETHING. But he's running out of time. So he'll backtrack outside.

. . . . . .and very very reluctantly lift himself up into the sky to get a good view of everything. ]

I can carry Sabre if it comes to it.

Do you think the monsters will come to us? Can we lure them to a place that's already destroyed so nothing else gets ruined in the crossfire?

[Between the three of you, you manage to make a pretty good wall! It seems sturdier than the tent, more hidden from view, and at least somewhat sheltered from the elements.]
