[At first, all is still; all is silent.]
[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]

[As soon as your fingertips brush the wood of the frame, a wave of feeling washes through you, so sudden and intense that it takes your breath away. It starts sweet and low, a warm glow somewhere deep in your chest - a sense of belonging, of contentment.]
[It doesn't last. It twists, and lurches sideways, a shock that feels like missing a step in the dark, on a staircase you thought you knew well. There's a hole, suddenly, where all that warmth used to be, and other things rush in to fill it: shame, and a bone-deep disappointment in yourself, and the aching certainty that of course you'd gotten it wrong.]
[Of course you had.]
[When you hang it on the wall again, some of the ache diminishes.]

Sometimes the past is painful. But even painful memories are a stepping stone to happier ones.
[ There are many people who love Hurricane. He releases a breath... and then decides to see if there are more plates in the kitchen. Or if any food can be found. ]

This is the best he can do then. He'll gently try to piece some of the plates back together if he can.
He wants to do more... to do SOMETHING. But he's running out of time. So he'll backtrack outside.
. . . . . .and very very reluctantly lift himself up into the sky to get a good view of everything. ]

EDIT: BUT THEN HIS OTHER GIRLFRIEND SAID SHE WAS BEING ATTACKED AT AN UNHOLY CHURCH SO HERE HE GOES.]
