[ you can't see her expression, behind the full-face mask. but she leans in closer to you, as she takes your hand for the kind of dance Paloma showed you before, and murmurs, under the music: ]
Long a priest of the Great Order, Taarahat was a mask, a cipher, a shadow. And when she is spoken of as a shadow, she was just that: Someone who could be just by your side, and completely unnoticed. A growing shade of darkness dogging your footsteps.
[He can't help but smile at her description. 'Tis so very, very fitting. They dance and step back and close as the steps dictate. Also using a voice that is meant to only be heard by present company.]
And who, my dear, has been causing you the most trouble? Whose change of heart you would to truly see?
[ she doesn't really answer, her skirts swirling around you as she steps in and then whirls out again. ]
Taarahat, it is said, was a dancer beyond peer, with an agility that would rival a steppe tiger.
Taarahat herself was largely untouchable. Her skills at both social manipulation and physical action were beyond peer and the two, combined with a preternatural ability for stealth, gave her almost impenetrable armor against those who would stand against her or the Worm Cult. It is said that those who came too close were either discredited-disgraced-exiled... or that the last thing they would see would be the mask she wore when her wrath was raised.
[ she seems to be running to the bar! but by the time you arrive there, she's vanished. the mask is swinging slightly on the wall, as if it's just been replaced. ]

Re: CHANGES
[Keeping apace with her, step for step.]
But we all have our secrets I suppose. The ones we wish to take to the grave.
Re: CHANGES
[ she twirls away, then steps in, past him, quickly. ]
Re: CHANGES
I'm here to dance with Lochaana.
Re: CHANGES
This isn't my mask. They gave it to me, but it's not mine.
[ and then she sweeps past him, elegantly, and the crowd parts before her on her way down the stairs to the lower deck. ]
