Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 4)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

TIME UNTIL REBOOT:


And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

[ laughs at that. ] I know. I was there for all of their duels, back home, I mean, though... [ a bit thoughtful. ] I suppose Hell hadn't really been too different. [ he just didn't see a lot of that, which he is thankful? for?? because "duels"??? ]

[ he's not a sore winner! and just looks thrilled to be gaming, because he's still a gaming nerd at heart. ] Blue-Eyes! [ though he doesn't seem offended, and instead yugi just smiles at her. he knows he doesn't look like much, but he can stand up to the best of them! he is the king of games, after all. ]

That was fun. [ going to start resetting all of the pieces. ]

[ Leans over to affectionately ruffle his hair. ] Yes. It was fun. Thank you for playing with me.

[puzzlers]

I guess I should be going? [ though he's half tempted to ask if she'd like to keep playing. ]

[ She laughs at that ] I think you should. It's not good to stand still, is it? But call for me if you need me. I'll hear you.

[puzzlers]

If you're sure it won't be a bother.

It won't be a bother, Yugi. I don't offer things I don't mean.

[ he finishes resetting the board, so if she finds somebody else to play with she'll be able to no problem. ]

Topside then. [ once again, he looks up. ]

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ She rises to her feet, and it only takes a few moments for her to transform from human to dragon - a warm silver-blue light enveloping her as she does so ]

[puzzlers]

[ stares, in awe. ]

[ obviously he knew this is something she could do, but seeing it is certainly something else. ]

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ She digs a wing for Yugi to get on. ]

[puzzlers]

[ he climbs aboard! ]

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ Blue Eyes takes off as soon as Yugi is on board. Past the lotus garden, out of the throne room and across a wide expansive desert.

Time distorts, and what should have been a very long journey passes in a few seconds.

Until they arrive at a very out-of-place elevator. ]

[puzzlers]

[ ...things he's expecting: not this elevator. ]

[ HM. ]

This is my stop, I think. [ he fishes out one of the puzzle pieces he has and offers it to her. ] For the game and the ride.

[ She eats it out of his hand. Because well - where else is she going to put it? ]
