Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 4)
In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.
TIME UNTIL REBOOT:

And then you wake up.
As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!
Game start.

Your sanity.

So, fine, if you win you get my sanity, but if I win... you become mine.

But as they play, it's readily apparent that he's more cunning than she is and clearly has the upper hand.
Unless---
Well.
She could win if she cheated. And it would be SO easy to do. ]

You almost had me.

I guess I still need more practice. [ she stands, setting her hands on the table and leaning over it, giving him a smile. ]
...go on, take some of my sanity, King.
It's not going to change the fact that I want to play another game, but this time... this time I pick.
cw: gore, getting eaten by monters
You'll be allowed to challenge me again when I deem you a worthy opponent.
Until then---
The penalty game continues.
[ The shadows elongate, dripping from the walls and crawling across the floor until only the center of the room remains. Then it takes the chairs. The table. And King fades from view with a not so sane laugh.
You feel something bite into your shoulder. Your side. The back of your calf. Your stomach. Piece by painstaking piece you are ripped about by the very monsters in your deck - claws tearing and rending. (Perhaps even your own tentacles wrapping around your neck). Until you choke on blood or nothing - you can't even tell up from down anymore. As you are quite literally torn apart. ]
[ And after it's over, you snap to. Just a dream. Just a vision. But it felt so real. ]
[ When your come to, King is gone. ]
Re: cw: gore, getting eaten by monters
and challenge the fuck out of you. ]
[ LITERALLY. ]
[ bet this sucks more because all of the monsters in her deck are machines. how fitting for this heart. she is going to do her best to fend them off, for all the good it DOESN'T do, but when he tentacles join in she has immediate flashbacks to that vivid nightmare from the button game and she all but freezes. she'll die choking ( and laughing ) on her own blood as she's torn to shreds, because fuck. you. king. ]
[ but when she comes to sometime after and it's all just a dream all she'd like to do is sock king in the face. she takes a few moments to catch her breath as she flips the table in anger. ]
[ sore loser, yep. ]
[ if there's nothing else here she's heading back to the elevator. ]
