Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 4)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

[ moves her hand from his shoulder to his head, dragging her fingers through his hair as she sighs. ]

[ He just laughs at that. Hoarsely. ]

You could at least said hi after I went through all this trouble.

But I heard you didn't show your face until the next game.

[ stills, expression growing... dark. ]

You're a no show unless it's been more than 24 hours.

... [ oh. right. he decided to off himself without knowing whether or not he could come back. ] And spoil the fun. No.

[ she goes back to threading her fingers through his hair. ] You want to go back, right, and tell everybody what you've discovered?

[ Blinks up at her, confused ] Of course I do. What kind of question is that?

All that'll change.

[ she's going to get to her feet and do her best to help him to his, even if she's got to bear all of his weight. ]

Gotta ask. It's part of the job... probably. And, hey, maybe I was thinking about keeping you down here with me forever.

[ He is a CORPSE so yes, she is going to have to bear all of his weight ]

[ she is taking him along with her and getting the hell out of this awful hall. ]

My ratings? Nnnooo. It's not my production. I don't care about the show, not anymore. But... you're the glue... You kind of keep the entire thing from falling apart. At least from the inside. What would they do without you, Intensity?

The whole thing is set up so that losing a single person is a minor setback.

It's keeping the information open that's important.
