"Welcome!" she says. "I'm the Countess of Danforth, and I'm so pleased you could make it to my Salon. Please, do make yourselves comfortable; my chefs have prepared plenty of delicious food, and of course there are drinks and dancing to be had. I hope you'll have plenty of exciting discussions."
She tilts her head at the lot of you. "Though, I get the feeling you're here for our guest of honor—First-Keeper Naarabot is quite in demand these days, due to the recent controversy, so if you'd like to reach her, you'll need to use Influence to send a Heliogram from the station over there." She points, and indicates an odd box with a typewriter attached to it over in the corner.
"You'll need other influence than what you have to truly change anything, though... but others at the Salon will find those useful, so you might be able to get it from them! They're all really charming conversationalists—I picked them all out myself—so really, they're lovely to talk to no matter what!"
And on that note, she shoos you out into the ballroom, encouragingly.
The inhabitants of the planet Mars—well, the native ones, I suppose. I think they have their own name for themselves, but you'd have to ask them; they always correct my pronunciation.
I know she did show up, but would you know, I'm not quite sure where she's gotten off to? It wouldn't surprise me if she had a number of people vying for her attention, though, so perhaps she's been waylaid by someone asking for an audience.
We've had some presentations on it here—one, in fact, by the First-Keeper's cousin, Qaiyaan! It's something to do with... ah, the ritual maintenance of their planetary canal system? But you might be better served by asking one of their priests; some should be here tonight.
She should be! After all, she's a politician herself as of late, and works with the Crown Council, so she should be about, somewhere. I don't know if she'll be joining them for their meeting upstairs, or if she's attending to something somewhere else.
She's quite outgoing, though from her manner you wouldn't think it.
Be very polite, and pay very close attention to her mannerisms! She's very proper, for a Martian, so I think she tends to think Terrans are a bit rude. If you pick it up quickly, she'll respect you a bit more.
Everyone! They all have something interesting you can learn from them, after all—so try to make the rounds. The presentations in the lecture hall can be quite exciting, too.

Re: THE COUNTESS
Where does she happen to be, if you don't mind my asking? She won't' show up for the party at all?
Re: THE COUNTESS
Re: THE COUNTESS
If you don't mind my asking, what's the title mean, exactly?

Re: THE COUNTESS
Is Qaiyaan here tonight as well?
Re: THE COUNTESS
She's quite outgoing, though from her manner you wouldn't think it.
Re: THE COUNTESS
Her manner? Why do you say that?
Re: THE COUNTESS
You didn't hear it from me, but Qaiyaan's quite grouchy.
Re: THE COUNTESS
Aha... well it takes all kinds. I will keep that in mind for when I find her though. Anything I should do to make a good first impression when I do?
Re: THE COUNTESS
Re: THE COUNTESS
Anyone, in particular, you suggest talking to before the night is up?

Re: THE COUNTESS
Thank you again. I'll take my leave for now.
