[ you don't recognize anyone particularly! apart from your fellow visitors.

Oh, it seems like we haven't scared all of them off, darling!
Between us and anyone from offworld who thinks they have a claim to treat Aruuv as theirs, of course. Which is to say, we're allies of the Honorable Lady Naarabot.
Well, political aid could help us end this war amicably. I'm sure if Lochaana was here she'd be saying "swaying public opinion's a way of waging war, too," or something like that.
Well, if you have any influence in the realm of politics or high society, we'd be happy to trade you. A little sway can go a long way~
[ They will, as a couple, offer you a 1:1 trade of Politics or High Society influence toward influence in the categories of "the canals must flow," "all is fair in love and war," or "pride goeth before a fall." ]
For a scientist and a noble to hold hands... it could look very strange. However, this entire heart is quite strange in its own way. It should be fine.
Strangely, I am reminded of home. The nobles always held such large frivolous gatherings. A scientist at a large social event of this scale would be unfounded and I did not know of any scientists at all.
Any scientifically minded guest would be a scholar with very high renown, a respected scholar who is being funded by a present noble, or someone who is already very wealthy and revered.

Wifi is gonna look around to see if he recognizes anyone before greeting the pair of nonhumans first.]

[???]
Is there a reason I should be scared? Did you do something creepy?
Re: THE GRAND BALLROOM
Oh, no, no, we're delightful company! If you think so you've got outstanding taste. It's just we've got a bit of a war on.

Oh okay. Yeah, that sounds like it'd be annoying having to deal with anyone like that.
Re: THE GRAND BALLROOM
Oh, we're so glad you understand! If you wouldn't mind putting some aid toward our cause, we could make it worth your while.

Re: THE GRAND BALLROOM
That's true, Silencchi definitely makes a lot of sense here! I can't argue with such sound science logic!
[Or maybe he just likes holding hands so any excuse is fine.]
