[At first, all is still; all is silent.]

[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]

[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

...That was completely ridiculous. You rule.

[What is ridiculous about this, this is just a normal thing that people do.

But L doesn't have time to think about any of that, she is just so relieved that Sekhmet is saying something that's not how she's going to lay down and die that she throws her arms around her in the biggest relieved hug]

A-Ah... it's... I'll be okay.

[No sooner than the song's done, though, than the harbingers are rushing back in to attack. One tips its head back, and back, and back, unhinging its jaw, like it means to swallow the nearest person whole. Its teeth come down in an earsplitting squeal of metal, for 2 damage.]

[Hurricane's voice comes from where he's facing two of the things perhaps thirty feet away.]

Look out!!

Hurricane!

[She dodges back, just in time to avoid being swallowed, but the Harbinger's teeth bruise her beneath her armor. She is going to activate the debuff on the harbingers for next round, as she grabs her sword and strikes again. The roll of 7 (5 damage) probably doesn't cut it though. The wisdom roll of 22 on the other hand shows her firm in the face of the enemy.]

I won't give into despair again!

[The blow doesn't land; the creature looks incensed by her words, taking a tighter hold with its massive jaws and shaking her, back and forth, like a dog with a toy, for 2 damage.]

Sekhmet - !

[From over where she's trying to help Prim, L is glowing as bright as she can and healing light is pouring towards Sekhmet to help patch those wounds.

18 Wisdom.]

[Keeping up the debuff, she is going to try to wrench herself loose and strike again! 22 to get loose, attack 11, damage 3.]

[The harbinger won't let go. It sinks its teeth in harder than before - tosses its head back, and throws her into the air like its playing with its food. She comes down on the ground, hard, for 3 damage.]

[Hurricane cries out in alarm - gets down one of the harbingers he's up against and turns to go and help Sekhmet, darting out across the space between them to try and close the distance.]

Sekhmet!

[ALSO RUSHING OVER, healing Sekhmet for another 2HP and that is unfortunately a 9 Dex to try and shoot the beast, her aim goes wide, but she gets a 19 on wisdom.]

[She cries out in pain, trying to get loose again, while she strikes the beast's head. For all the pain, she feels focused, in control, but she hopes that will be enough.

19 to attack, 6 to get loose, 4 damage.]

[ Going in to help free Sekhmet at 17 STR, with 16 WIS. ]

Sekhmet!!

[Prim tears Sekhmet free, and she uses that freedom to good effect, cutting the harbinger nearly in two. Hurricane is there in half an instant, black blades slashing, to back her up - and down the harbinger goes, in a pile of twitching wings and black ichor.]

[Only one remains, the injured harbinger that's darting in after Hurricane.]

[L is focused on healing Sekhmet so she doesn't shoot in time when it gets close and only gets a 13 on wisdom oops]

[The whispers won't shut up.]

Especially not about something as important as this.

It's time to dig in your heels; if you don't take a stand, who will?

[Not noticing L's succumbing to the whispers, and darting off toward Hurricane and the last Harbinger, oops.]

[She's going to try to attack it! But at an 8 that doesn't mean much. But she will boost Hurricane's rolls.]

[ TAG TEAM

STR 18 and WIS 6. ]

[L rolls 25 dex and shoots it for 5 damage]

[Hurricane twists around, too - darts in with a 26, quick and nimble in the air, to slash at it for 4 damage.]

[Between the four of you, it falls to the street below, flapping feebly, and soon stops moving altogether.]

[THANK GOODNESS]

Is that the last of them? Who needs healing?
