future is now
[ Everything fades to black...and you awaken in a car.
You're wearing raggedy versions of your uniform/servant uniforms, and a newspaper informs you that you are currently in %COUNTRYNAME% in the year %CONTEMPORARY%+1. The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing the results of a recent attempt at revolt in a city in %COUNTRYNAME%: worker’s success at managing a nearby gold mine led to dreams of every man being a king - the revolutionaries may have been successful had it not been for a concurrent jailbreak and mass slaughter putting local authorities on alert, buying time for military intervention - the town was nearly levelled to the ground, with few survivors.
But you seem to remember - you survived, didn’t you?
...Also, below the main headline about the failed revolution, there's something about Those Who Crave Hands? Huh.
Anyways, you've got marketing to do! ]

Your skin is very important for a variety of reasons. For example, your skin protects the organs, blood, nerves, muscles, and bones contained within. Without your skin, you would be a mess. It would not very pleasant to imagine yourself without skin. You would have muscles and organs moving about, sticking out, and falling all over the place. Also, your skin protects you at the same time while it is holding the rest of your body in place. The thinnest skin on your body forms your eyelids, yet those tiny bits of skin do an excellent job of protecting your eyes (even with eyes as strangely unique as yours.) By the way, the thickest skin on your body makes up the soles of your feet. No matter how thin or thick your skin, it is important! Your skin also helps to keep your body at just a consistent temperature appropriate for the rest of your body. If you go outside in hot or cold weather, your body temperature will rise or fall above the normal temperature of 98.6º F. When this happens, a part of your brain will send messages to your skin to help regulate your body's temperature. When you get too hot, your skin helps you to cool down. Blood vessels in the skin move more warm blood toward the skin's surface, so that the heat can be released. Sweat glands in the skin also produce sweat that cools the body when it evaporates from the skin. Likewise, the skin can cause your blood vessels to constrict, moving warm blood away from the skin to keep you warmer when you get too cool. Finally, your skin allows you to have the sense of touch. Can you imagine life without being able to touch things and feel the warmth of the sun on your skin? You cannot, it would be sad. While your eyes allow you to see and your nose allows you to smell, it's your skin that allows you to feel. The next time you hold a beer bottle, reflect on the coolness that you can feel thanks to having skin! If you listen to any part of this, listen to the part about beer!
