The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing the results of a recent attempt at revolt in a city in %COUNTRYNAME%: worker’s success at managing a nearby gold mine led to dreams of every man being a king - the revolutionaries may have been successful had it not been for a concurrent jailbreak and mass slaughter putting local authorities on alert, buying time for military intervention - the town was nearly levelled to the ground, with few survivors.

So in my mind, our agency is more important than trying to protect the people we love by protecting ourselves. If we make ourselves miserable in the process of making game decisions, then who really wins?

It hurts me when I have to watch you guys make choices that go against your own personal ideals. And I think that's something the people we care about on other units can understand-- should understand.

And this is one of the few games we can do something to protect ourselves without necessarily doing a ton of damage.

I really don't give a shit what other people think about our decisions. If they get pissed off, then they can get pissed off. What I care about is this unit, and what this unit believes is best for us.

I agree, honestly. I would just rather spare our unit from getting screamed at, but let's try to keep ourselves afloat, at least for our own sake. We saw what happened when we did jack shit. Everybody was firing off downvotes like it was going out of fucken style.

We've had moments where we thought it was impossible to turn things around, and we'd surely lose, and didn't. It's too soon to entirely count ourselves out.
