IMPOCALYPSE
BATTLE MECHANICS
Note: characters that are heavily injured may acquire corruptions. There will be heavy maiming.
- This is a turn-based fight. PCs will take their turn, the boss will react, and then the boss will take their turn. Players will react and take their turn, and so on and so forth.
- You may take up to six actions in one turn, including dodge. You may attack up to 6 times if you're not dodging, and you can attack even if you are dodging or fail to dodge. If a swing delivers more than one attack (throwing multiple projectiles at the same time) then it's counted as one "action".
- With every strike/blow/attack, .roll 1d6 twice (or !2d6. MAKE SURE TO DO IT THIS WAY BECAUSE NADEKO IS A TRAITOR. The first dice determines whether your attack succeeds or fails, with 1-3 as fail and 4-6 as success. The second dice determines how much damage you inflict on the boss. Please include both numbers with your comment on your turn.
- Roll for every strike, not for every turn. If your character decides to shoot 4 times in succession, roll a 2d6 for every bullet.
- Green text can be dodged, but red text is guaranteed damage. Dodge by using a 1d6, 1-3 as fail and 4-6 as success.
- UNIT ABILITY MECHANICS ARE HERE, but please note: this is not the end-all be-all of how these powers can be used, and these are not the only powers that can be used in a fight, these are just the ones that affect rolls specifically. The session's runner always has the final say, so ask if you want to do something cool but you don't think it's street legal. (It probably is.)

EFFECTS LIST
- Black substance, both sticky and acidic
- A sticky substance that seems to cling to everything it touches, and is impossible to pull off. It melts through flesh, but the more it melts, the more it seems to become absorbed. Sufficient absorption of this substance in any capacity (skin absorption, digestion) will result in corruptions that may be permanent. May be removed by severing the affected area, or by bringing the affected area to the deadzone.

With a cry, the demon swings back, grabbing Kir Royale by the back to try throwing her at Cypress.
Rye's demon, meanwhile, has taken to try stomping on the lizard to pin him down. ]

pours out of her body. she deflates instantly, tail going limp as she press their face against Paloma, trembling and growling out gross sobs. they keep mumbling out half formed thoughts in jumbled sentences, and then: ]

she grabs her bow, standing up shakily. ]

she carries on, focusing still on the demon she and Ruby were fighting; lurching forward as Ruby flips it in an attempt to shoved the staff into its face-- preferably down its throat, with as much weight behind the action as she can muster(4 hit, 4 dmg).
As she does that, she reaches for the knife Ruby had abandoned in the gut of the creature, to try and grip and yank, roughly twisting as she goes(5 hit, 5dmg) ]
BOSS REACTION
On the girls' side, Kir Royale's savage blow is enough for it to recoil back, exposed for Cypress's staff attack. As it's knocked back, the knife is yanked, twisted—and all at once, it poofs into black mist with a dying shriek.
Rye's demon turns into a porcupine. ]
BOSS ACTION
Then it is two porcupines.
Then it is four.
Then it is eight.
Then it is sixteen.
Sixteen porcupines on top of one komodo dragon.
Well that's like, whatever, except for the part where all sixteen of them begin to dig their teeth into the lizard, with at least one piercing through the reptilian skin to take a chunk of flesh. ]

[A-at least he is a big motherfucker, but that's still ten minutes from porcupines trying to tear out his flesh and he needs them OFF and is trying to shake them off and-]
[Oh, that is a thought. Worse thought.]

[And then he whips around and CHARGES for where there are active cables, gaining momentum.]
[And then changing himself into a sparrow as he throws himself UP and hopefully OUT of the porcupine hoard and let momentum send at least some of them into live wires.]
[He won't be able to fly FAR with a fucked up arm/wing and pocked marked flesh, but at least it's to go in another direction then right into the wires.]
[And prepared to drop animal form entirely if he gets clear of electricity because he may not be clear of porcupines.]

let's find out. there are sixteen porcupines, one komodo dragon, and one very very angry divine dragon with a taserbow. she walks steadily from Paloma's corpse, firing off shots as she goes -

Something else happens: you see all the light poles suddenly light up, brighter than they've ever been—then, just as suddenly, the lights go out.
The whole city is dark.
Oops.
Well, at least the demons are gone—though in the darkness you can still feel the cold mist of dark fog, which lingers in the air. . . ]
