Yvette's super fun spy simulator: Session I

Objective: Convince Yvette to leave the Ideal World.
The following is ICly known:
  • Unit abilities are off :)
  • Yvette is actively trying to sabotage players
  • One tactic is making interaction "pay for play," using memories, specifically those of Yvette. (max 5)
  • After 5 memories have been exhausted, false memories will be implanted
  • Planted memories will not be accepted as Payment.
  • Alternate Payment is negotiable, but the player will lose whatever they give her
  • Use of force is highly inadvisable, and the condition for success is extremely low. Failure will result in a false memory.
  • Your smartphone works, and can be used to document inconsistencies in the Ideal World.

tl;dr The more evidence you collect, the more convincing you are; memories can be used to unlock certain things, but if they run low, you get mindfucked (probably).
All things lost or received during the game will be reversed upon waking or within one IC day, at player’s discretion. The character does not know this ICly.

[That's... good?

[She's going to try and carefully pick her way between them all and make her way to the bar.]

Yvette-chan, what's going on?
tradesecret: (z) Well; someone's got to break the ice)

She looks at Wednesday as if she were any other customer: "This is a party, of course. Can I get something started for you, or would you like to see a magic trick?"
wonderlandgirl: (✽ that awkward moment)

Um, but the people are... cardboard...

[Should she be pointing this out?]

Maybe I should get a drink.
tradesecret: (z) You mean you have photographs?)

She laughs lightly. Cardboard people? That's crazy talk, but she can't say that to a customer. That's impolite.

"I'm afraid I'll have to ask for payment up front. It's the house policy."
wonderlandgirl: (✽ and i still don't understand)

[So we're not going there, apparently.

[Not that it matters. She's too busy wondering if this place takes Points. Oh wait MOST PLACES REQUIRE MONEY TO BE EXCHANGED FOR GOODS AND SERVICES.]

Oh, I, um... left my purse at... home?

tradesecret: (z) Very funny. FBI.)

"Oh, don't worry about that. I'm not after money. Memories are the best form of currency, here. Unless you're confident in your ability to make a deal."
wonderlandgirl: (✽ is it really okay?)

Re: Casino Party!

[personal profile] wonderlandgirl 2020-08-01 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[No.

[No, she is not confident in her ability to Make a Deal.]

Memories?

I'm afraid I don't remember much about myself at all...

tradesecret: (z) Well; someone's got to break the ice)

"Oh, don't worry. The ones I'm interested aren't about you... Memories you have from here will do. About Yvette, specifically."
wonderlandgirl: (✽ bwah?)

But... you're 'Yvette', aren't you?

Don't you remember your own past?
tradesecret: (z) Oui oui; Madame)

"The past isn't that interesting, is it? The present is way more fun!"
wonderlandgirl: (✽ strong enough)

Then, um...

We did a murder mystery together? We did it like a gala... you played a socialite who was blackmailing Kaguya-chan - she's your friend, too. I was the reporter. We had to avenge your death, and it turned out it was D.Va-chan who did it... the fake murder, I mean. Wataru-kun staged it.
tradesecret: (z) You mean you have photographs?)

Did that really happen or not? As soon as she mentions it, the memory is gone from her mind.

Yvette slides over a drink. It's cheerful and pink, just like her. While it might make her head spin, as alcohol does, it tastes just like water. Strange...

[[ For Wednesday's trouble +2 to rolls related to social interaction, i.e. charm and negotiation ]]

wonderlandgirl: (✽ is that supposed to happen?)

[This doesn't quite taste the way she expected.

[Maybe she should just have asked for a tap water after all? Unfortunately, Wednesday is far too polite to mention this.]

Thank you.

Um, Yvette-san? It might be an odd question, but... is there anything I can do to help you?
tradesecret: (z) It's you and me; honeybunch)

U-um, I suppose I am...

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing now, though? I just - ended up here?
tradesecret: (z) Yes; but now I work for the UN)

"I see. Well, there are Combat and Acting lessons, though if you're inclined to take a Break, or engage in Self-Study, that's fine as well."
wonderlandgirl: (✽ ... hina-chan?)

Oh, um...

Well, I'm not very good at combat. But Paloma-san suggested I should try acting? Maybe I should go there.
