Amaranth: A Dream
...whose battles called her far from home.
She slew the thing she feared most, and conquered the land that feared her.
As she fought, far away, she knew her children needed guidance.
She knew they faced tyrants.
She knew they faced fear.
In her homeland, things were broken.
So, she held up her hand before the sun, and cast a shadow on the world, and drowned the troubles of her home in darkness.
"Survival's a long reach," she said.

Shiho. Amaranth's first wife, the musician. A gentle woman, but just as devoted to her ideals as you and Amaranth. The sort of person who makes it easier to see a life beyond the battlefield. ]

Her build is willowy and flat-chested; her body a touch warmer than expected. ]

You and Amaranth both work so hard to keep this land's peace. Just don't let yourself forget that this peace is for you, too.

Hanae, your strong-willed middle daughter, makes dumplings; she reminds everyone multiple times that she came up with the recipe for the filling all by herself. Miwa, your eldest, is the most eager to hear as many stories she can get you to tell. (Even the bad parts, she says.) She says she wants to be ready to fight for peace, too, when she grows up. Little Fujiko is eager and chatty, but goes silent and awe-struck when you show her your sword—you have one, beautifully wrought and perfectly balanced, as soon as you think to check—and traces the edge carefully with her fingers.
(You have a fourth child too—your gentle son. But he cannot leave his duty to the shrine.)
Amaranth returns from another room—you see she's coming in from a place that looks like LiliS's garden—and greets you and Shiho both with a kiss. After lunch, she tells your daughters another story about the time you and she worked together to take down a corrupt Domain Lord. (You don't remember it, but it feels like you could, if you decided you wanted to.) With the girls satisfied, she's playfully eager to convince you and Shiho (who teases her by pretending not to know what she means) to escape into your shared bedroom. All of your bodies fit together perfectly.
And there is peace. ]

I'll try and see if I can find Amaranth—I think things are getting a little dangerous, and even if it's a dream... I think she'd appreciate her family being looked after.
