Amaranth: A Dream
...whose battles called her far from home.
She slew the thing she feared most, and conquered the land that feared her.
As she fought, far away, she knew her children needed guidance.
She knew they faced tyrants.
She knew they faced fear.
In her homeland, things were broken.
So, she held up her hand before the sun, and cast a shadow on the world, and drowned the troubles of her home in darkness.
"Survival's a long reach," she said.

Re: The Almost Bridge - 3/3
[ it's teasing but also like. why would they be mutually exclusive! ]
Re: The Almost Bridge - 3/3
The Almost Bridge - 1/2
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
Close the distance between them and grab Req by the shirt for a kiss. ]
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
DO LUNARS USUALLY EXPLODE INTO FURRY FORM OUT OF SHOCK BECAUSE THAT SURE JUST FUCKING HAPPENED ]
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
but it's whatever; you don't make it far in Creation without becoming at least a little bit a monsterfucker.
...Anyway, after a few long moments she pulls away. ]

But like, absolutely intentionally slobbery and gross. ]

Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
Amaranth gives a little huff of a sigh, and runs her fingers back through her hair to halfway tidy it. ]
So... what will you do now, Requiem?
[ She means in the immediate—stay or go, or leave all together—but the question isn't not deliberately open-ended. ]
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
Is there any point of me going-- there?
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2

Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
[ Amaranth closes her eyes, almost pained; exhales ]
...to see my son. If you can help to bring him back, then you should go.
Otherwise... I am glad for the company.
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
I don't think I can do something like that. So I'll-- stay.
Re: The Almost Bridge - 2/2
...Thank you.
[ She's mostly quiet then, but she stays near as the two of you watch across the rushing water, and wait. ]
