You are in a dark place. All you can here is ticking for a long, long while.

Then a bright light, a pure white crystal, taller than the dorms itself, appears in front of you. It's voice echoes in your mind.

Hear.... Feel... Think...
A Light there once was that shone throughout this realm... yet it has since grown dim
And as it has faltered so has the Darkness risen up in its stead, presaging an end to life.
For the sake of us all, I beseech thee deliver us from this fate.
If thou would pierce the shadows... make thee a blade of light.
Hold onto it, child.
Return His Dark servants to your realm.
But beware, ever is He trying to grow his power. Do not get caught.

And the light vanishes you find yourself with a crystal in your hand.

Though you are again left in in Darkness before you find yourself in a vast city standing in front of a large teleportation device.

Objectives (if your character can translate Hydaelyn vagueness):
1) Convince both Ascians to leave
2) Don't get tempered :) (or killed if you don't like mind control)

Additionally you may choose EITHER canon or OR imeeji powers to be active. You can wait to decide until you use a power, but once you use a power that powerset is locked in as your choice.

Also if people are in the same area as you feel free to mingle. It is in fact encouraged. Also your phones work only to text and take pictures (basically for the purpose of communicating in case you are in different spots).

GAME START

Lahabrea looks at the three of you uncertainly but then nods.

"G'raha, help me defend the scholars."

He drops his own barrier to cast protective magics on the fleeing academics, and the beast rears up, energy gathering in its maw, letting loose a beam of light at the room in general, and Absinthe in particular. You're free to fight, Lahabrea is defending the retreat of the others.

[nodding sharply. no time for the order to rankle. he holds up the barrier for only a moment before it's shattered by the beam anyway, trying to give Lahabrea time to ready his defense of the scholars, then he's switching gears to healing and shielding as well. getting some of those sick white mage heals over time on everyone-- including Vergil and Absinthe.]

[ he blinks to dodge the light -- though it still singes him some. he hardly seems to care, though, laughing with an almost mad energy as he closes in on the beast and tries to put his hand against it --

and, in fact, he's trying to daemonize it rather than fight it or kill it. his hand glows with the same dark purple energy as his blinks, as he tries to spread the Starscourge to this creature, driving it into (even more?) a bloodthirsty rampage while still under Absinthe's control. ]

[Vergil transforms in an instant, which does much to help the lingering fear - at least he's strong now.

In flight, he charges the Archaeotania, slashing some dozen or so times in precisely the same moment.]

G'raha and Lahabrea combined defend the fleeing academics.

While Vergil's successful in very cool slashing Absinthe is also successful--and the thing becomes one of his minions, though if it is driving it madder he desires, well, he can! But it is already a beast of pure rage and destruction.

The tanks lining the hall burst and aether whips them into waterspouts, but what does Absinthe want?

he doesn't really want Vergil or the cat to get in the way of what he has in mind soooo

he's going to leave the beast sicced on them while he tries to warp out to the Capitol Building. ]

[He is very cool thank you, be impressed.

Absinthe is. a helper. Vergil doesn't really give a shit though. When he lands on the floor, there's a wide space where the colour of the world around him distorts, washes out and darkens, and it takes a few moments, but he is very cool, we judgment cut end here.]

The water spouts try to hit everyone with shredding water and glass but only Vergil will really be in the way of it, everyone else is magically warded.

The cool blade effects work though!

And honestly it goes down, though it's... pretty gross and daemony as it dissolves.

[Yeah that's fine, he doesn't care. He doesn't bother transforming back to his human self, which means the wounds heal all the faster!

Not what he's concerned with though, back to that conversation about fear.]
