Ascian's Ideal World: Second Run
Then a bright light, a pure white crystal, taller than the dorms itself, appears in front of you. It's voice echoes in your mind.
Hear.... Feel... Think...
A Light there once was that shone throughout this realm... yet it has since grown dim
And as it has faltered so has the Darkness risen up in its stead, presaging an end to life.
For the sake of us all, I beseech thee deliver us from this fate.
If thou would pierce the shadows... make thee a blade of light.
Hold onto it, child.
Return His Dark servants to your realm.
But beware, ever is He trying to grow his power. Do not get caught.
And the light vanishes you find yourself with a crystal in your hand.

Though you are again left in in Darkness before you find yourself in a vast city standing in front of a large teleportation device.
Objectives (if your character can translate Hydaelyn vagueness):
1) Convince both Ascians to leave
2) Don't get tempered :) (or killed for those with cw mind control exceptions)
Additionally you may choose EITHER canon or OR imeeji powers to be active. You can wait to decide until you use a power, but once you use a power that powerset is locked in as your choice.
Also if people are in the same area as you feel free to mingle. It is in fact encouraged. Also your phones work only to text and take pictures (basically for the purpose of communicating in case you are in different spots).

AKADAEMIA ANYDER
no subject
Entering the Akadaemia you walk along a beautiful, broad, tree lined avenue. You’re directed to the left to enter a large lecture hall, the entrance to which is titled The Words of Mitron. One half of the hall is dominated by a huge and strange monster in a tank, the creature is the size of a four story building, and radiates a sort of menace. It’s surrounded by people of all characteristics, robed and masked but still distinct from each other. Many are measuring things with what looks like magical devices and writing down their findings. Others are in clusters debating the results of their work. There is some tension in the air, but mostly people seem calm.
On the other side of the hall is a man in a black robe and perhaps familiar red mask at a desk, which is piled high in reports, with more figures constantly bringing and taking away files and crystals and other things for him to look over. Between reviewing what’s brought to him and speaking to some who approach, he seems to be working on a document of his own.
The Aetheryte shard is near the entrance should you wish to teleport somewhere else.

And for a moment, when you blink, you are taken somewhere else.
[Please go here to find yours.]
When you come to you are still in the Akademia, however--
There is a loud crack and the container holding the massive monster Archaeotania breaks, scattering academics left and right. Lahabrea rises to his feet, shouting orders for evacuation as he erects a magical barrier around the creature.
“This will not hold, you should seek safety.”
Unless you want to fight the thing? Then again you still feel that terror made manifest is somewhere, watching you, stalking you…

And old.
She stares at her hands, they look grey, but colour eventually returns, but she doesn't know for how long. Is--is this real or not? She has to believe it isn't, it can't be, but it feels--
"What?"
She hears the crack, the container is compromised and that monster will soon be free.
"Isn't having that run loose just going to make people more afraid? That'll only make things worse!"

Where exactly is safe from a gigantic monster like that? There has to be something we can do to stop it.

He's pulled out his double saber, his eyes narrowed but his lips curled into a grin. ]
Bring it on!
[ It's not that he doesn't feel the terror, it's just that he responds to those feelings with anger. ]

once she manages to get herself up off of the ground, she -
takes a moment longer to actually get herself focused enough to see or hear, then to register the situation properly - even then she trembles, a thin sheen of sweat adhering her hair to her brow, obscuring her vision. rising bile from her throat smothers her words.
she can't fight it. even with her magic intact she can't bring herself to raise a hand against it, especially not with the memory of that feeling so fresh in her mind. but. wheezed out, ]
C . . . Cosmo, that barrier -

Fight!
The thing is gathering energy in its maw, and fires lasers at all of you from its mouth.

The red masked man sits at a desk away from the tank. It is Lahabrea if you’ve been here or are still here, of course. His desk is piled with papers and crystals but he pays them no mind, looking lost in his own thoughts. What can be seen of him behind his mask is a wane face, tired and drawn. There is no longer a flurry of activity, the place seems oddly quiet, and footsteps echo in the large hall. Perhaps it would be best to speak softly.
The Aetheryte shard is near the entrance should you wish to teleport somewhere else.

What is that? Maybe some kind of giant imp or demon?
[He doesn't actually expect an answer, and is merely thinking out loud.]

If he's just talking out loud a researcher nearby will answer.
"A specimen we picked up from across the sea."
