Requiem's Ideal World run #1

Oh. You have a text-- wonder what that's about?
...
...
?
Hey, there's some junk in here that's not in the right spots. Take a good look around and fix that jazz. Everything's got a place or whatever.
No sense in hiding from yourself, right?
... what is this, a text for ants?

She's picking a numbered tape at random and sticking it in, dealer's choice. ]
Re: marcy's bedroom
But first you pop in the tape labeled "journal #5992...????"
Req's voice comes in almost immediately.
I'll get into the music later. I wanted to start keepin' a journal again-- figured Bonnie would appreciate it, eventually. Said it'd be like a piece of history, like, yeah, okay, but more importantly my voice? Like, sentimental value? C'mon, girl.
Anyway... Kitty's gettin' real good with that guitar. Keep sayin' she should play a set with me, the fans would love it, but she's all shy about it or whatever, or says work's too busy. Which, yeah, I can believe that, Bonnie's kind of a tyrant, haha. But she'd totally give her the day off if she asked...
Oh-- yeah, went out with Pharaoh today since it'd been a while. Still as noisy as ever-- starting spouting out about how his kingdom was coming along, blah blah... Always the same thing with him, but it was fun to hang out. Invited him over for Zrael movie night soon so hopefully he remembers...
It continues on much in the same vein. Literally just a journal, it seems.

She shoots a glance at Nem before taking it back out. ]
Re: marcy's bedroom
...Uh, anyways. What about this one?
[Digs out the tape with the scratched out label, and pops it into the player]
Re: marcy's bedroom
"Look, this-- YOU took this picture! Ugh, you scribbled all over it...
... huh?"
Silence, for a moment, before an elderly man's voice excitedly speaks up:
"Oh, oh, are they good lyrics? I'll get the keyboard!"
Requiem frantically calls after him, "Wh, what? Wait-- listen!"
Electronic keyboard notes start playing in the background, and the old man says, "Yeah let's go, what's it say?! Sing out, sister!"
There's a long moment of silence before Requiem begins to sing with a slightly wavering voice.
It hurts. To remember, to realize, that someone you loved isn't the person they used to be. That they hurt you and left you alone when you needed them most, but... what else could they have done?

...That's prolly enough tapes for now. Dragging it out ain't gonna make it any easier, we should--go find her, since she ain't here.
Re: marcy's bedroom
[ She pockets the tape, though. ]
This and the flowers should be enough for a start.
Re: marcy's bedroom
Yeah. C'mon.
[And she makes for the ladder out]
