Hey, there's some junk in here that's not in the right spots. Take a good look around and fix that jazz. Everything's got a place or whatever.

...Yeah--yeah, well. Surprise.

[Squeezes back, tight, where she can feel Req's heartbeat, oh no oh no oh no]

It beats so strongly; you can feel it through her shirt.

Requiem pulls back just a little to nuzzle your cheek. "You still gonna come to my show tonight?"

[Oh nooo but of course she nuzzles back]

...Remind me the details again?

And gives you a little kiss, apparently entirely unable to resist.

"The usual place," she says, between kisses. "In the city park. Got plenty of time to waste on you 'fore I gotta get busy though..."

[Oh noooooo]

Oh yeah...?

[Well--if she only kisses back like once or twice then it's kind of like she's staying on target. But--okay, she can do this, she can work with this]

I-I mean, yeah, it'd be nice to, uh, at least walk around some, since we got some time yet.

"Ooorrr," she says, softly, curling her arm firm around Nem's back, "We could go to bed... Missed you, y'know."

She leans into the touch, because Req's arm is warm and firm and Nemesis is only human. "It...it hasn't been that long, has it?"

"A few days is long enough!

In fact, it's too long. I'm totally suffering."

"That is a long time... But it ain't like you were here all alone, right? What about Zrael, or whatserface, or whoever?"

"Everyone's been busy... I mean, not that I think they'd say no or nothin', but... they've all got their own stuff goin' on, y'know?

'Sides, been wantin' you."

She looks up at Req, and over to Sabre, and down to the ground because she's not exactly certain what her expression is, but it definitely isn't something she wants to share.

She coughs lightly, willing the heat from her face before replying. "I...I mean. Lemme--check with the cat about, uh. Something."

Req looks concerned for a moment as she says, "Oh-- sure..."

Then pauses, touching her cheek, and gently coaxing her gaze back up.

"... hey . I love you, okay? Sorry for sayin'-- somethin dumb. "

So much for willing away a blush. Her cheeks are plenty warm now, and not just because cat is just a few steps away, and she leans into this touch a little, too.

"...You didn't do nothin' wrong, okay? I..." She trails off; hesitates, then reaches up to brush over Req's cheek, as if they were alone (even though they definitely aren't and definitely are just standing around in the middle of the street and).

"Me and her just had something planned. But we can change it, okay?" And lower, almost guilty: "I wanna spend time with you, too."

Req strokes her cheek with her thumb and nods, leaning into her touch as well. At least it's not like there's anybody else around-- they're by a cave in the middle of seemingly nowhere, Req's the only one around besides Sabre.

But she gives a little smile. "Yeah," she says. "But if you got somethin' planned I can totally wait. Life's short, y'know? Have fun."

Then after a pause, prompting again, as if something hadn't been quite right before:

"Love you, Kitty."

That's still at least 33 percent too many people around, but Nemesis is doing her best, even if her best involves more than a little awkward, anxious tension in her overall demeanor.

"Yeah. That's why I'm talking pleasure before business. You shouldn't be the one waiting."

And she pulls back a little--looks down again before glancing back up at her with a better smile. "You got a couple hours before the show, right? Maybe we could grab a bite, make a day of it. ...Life's short, right?"

There's a long, confused pause.

But after a moment Req pulls back with a slightly shaky smile, and says, "Nah. Go do what you gotta. I got a few hours before I gotta get ready, I'll be here. Should be practicing anyway."

"You don't..." Nemesis trails off, expression equally confused, though it quickly wavers into dismay before she can wrangle back a somewhat convincing smile. It is, in fact, not particularly convincing, and she looks away.

"...Right, okay. If...that's what you prefer."

She tilts her head. "I don't what?"

She shakes her head again. "Don't matter. You should do what you want. I mean...how often d'you really get the chance, right?"

"Uh, basically always?" she says, with a lopsided grin.

"Seriously. Go do your thing, I'm always where you need me. You know that."

Her voice and expression goes soft. "Yeah, I know."

Another beat, and she takes a reluctant step back. "Lunch in an hour or so? I'll even let you have some quality cat time, first."

Her expression softens a little. "Alright," she says, stepping back to sit back down on the rock and pick up her bass. "An hour. I'll see you soon, baby."

'Course.

You want me to pick you up anything?

"Whatever you want, I'm good with."

She hesitates again before continuing. "Yeah, but... What do you want? Like...no promises, but... I wanna at least know."

It is possible she is talking about more than just where to get takeout...
