[ man, gladio sure is being a pain in her spiky dragon butt. she slams her claw straight into the ground in the hopes of crushing him to handsome bits, but he manages to evade her, and soon he's slashing at her again. she screams, enraged, and sics her tentacles on him; both of which try to do a chomp. ]
[ meanwhile, she tries to move out of reach of hurricane's attacks, but there's only so far back she can go, since her 'restraints' are kind of there. she considers knocking him back again, but that seemed to do little to deter him, so she instead starts beating her wings to rise off the ground. there! now you'll have a much harder time doing a stab... hopefully! ]
[ (5, 6) Shrike finally manages to tear off a piece of bramble, cutting at whatever seems to be a danger—aiming for the more tender parts of the plant growth with her makeshift weapon, or maybe whatever that tear is??? ]
[If she's going to try and get into the air, then Nero's going to give the hookshot another try. Aiming for where the brambles are lanced through her, the hook wraps around a tendril (hit 4 damage 2) - and he reels himself in, grappling onto the beast's back to hold on for dear life.]
[So, definitely not as many knives as there ought to be but either way, she's not going to just sit back while the people she cares about are hurt by other people they care about! So Nemesis once again hoofs it up towards where the heart should go, Stability keeping her footing sure even as the brambles shift, tugged by the dragon's attempts to get airborne. Holding onto D.va this time, she begins pulling at the brambles again, attempting to snap them clean--4 to hit and 6 effectiveness.
Probably not that much time to peek into this another world during all this, but she at least tries to keep track of what direction it is as a point of reference]
[ ...oof. not paying mind to nero and shrike certainly is coming back around to bite her in the bramble. she shrieks, one of the spiky restraints severed as shrike drives her makeshift weapon straight into her. ]
[ as much as she'd like to buck nero off she's already pushing the limits of her restraints. she instead tries to pitifully reach back with her claws, since she managed to evade hurricane, and swipe at him, but she can't reach. stubby arms, wryyyyy. ]
[ nemesis manages to break enough of the brambles to make a sizable hole in her chest. if she hadn't been preoccupied trying to woefully swat at nero she might have tried to get her away, but she's only one dragon, ok! ]
[ there's no healer in this group, sorry gladio. ]
[ she jumps, and launches herself with warpstrike, targeting Nero's weapon—so that she ends up holding his hand, and gives him a quick peck on the cheek before handing him the weapon back and rolling away sideways across DVa's back to hack away at more of the brambles tangled into her. ]
[it's like riding a bucking bronco while also trying to saw through tendrils that had taken over the hole in the horse's chest. Which is to say, hard as shit, but Nero wraps an arm and both his legs around the vines as he takes out the Heart Weapon and chops and chops and chops--
Hasn't really thought his landing through, if/when the brambles he's holding onto finally break loose. That was future Nero's problem. Right now, he had to saw this shit out.]
[He hacks out a wet sounding cough as pink spittle flies from his mouth.
Gladio grips the sword hilt with both hands and slashes upward and down in broad strokes, severing the tentacles grappling him. He pivots to attack again, but falters... he'd bleeding kind of a lot.
He's crouching down one knee on the ground, watching Hurricane and the others attack]
[As much as the dragon bucks and writhes, the one thing Nemesis has at the moment is the ability to literally stick to that dragonhide like glue. So as the others continue to avoid claw swipes or slice through brambles or distract via impressive pectorals, Nemesis just keeps ripping the overgrown weeds from D.va's chest with both hands, heedless of the deep scratches from the prickles or the mostly pink blood that now covers them both.
This is because the second thing Nemesis has at the moment is D.va's heart, and once Nemesis is satisfied the hole is cleared of the corrupted spikes, she'll shove the heart in--hold it in place until it catches, no more dragon surprises this time.]
[ right now she's stuck between a rock & a hard place... and by that i, of course, mean she's become infatuated with gladio's bare chest. she makes no further moves to attack, instead leaving hurricane free to sever the brambly chains. ]
[ her heart weapon makes short work of the overgrowth, and soon nero's going to be falling back down to the ground, because it's all been hacked away. nemesis rips&tears to get at her chest, and soon there's a decent sized hole that (1) heart could fit into. ]
