I don't know about that... I mean, I was blessed by God and I've never shown any respect or fear for him. I don't think I've ever thanked him for it either~
Why should I? Sure the Gift he gave me lead to a lot of good things, but it made me arrogant and selfish thinking that I could just create whatever I wanted and everything would turn out fine. God doesn't care if you thrive or if you suffer, he just put all of us here to watch us struggle and break ourselves over and over trying to accomplish something worthwhile.
Anything worth anything that I got, I got it myself.
The Lord granted free will upon humankind, and so He cannot save us from our own failings. He may only hope that we accept His word and guidance, and in embracing His love, be granted salvation in His everlasting love.

You never struck me as the kind of person who loves God before.
He is all around you and within you; He is watching you at all times; He knows your thoughts. He is greater than anything you have ever known, greater still than anything you have ever been. He is immense; His power is immense; His love is immense. The weight of it presses ever so slightly, ever so gently down on your chest, merely the slightest brush, and it is enough to paralyze you in place and rob you of your breath.
His pain at your transgression fills you up, overwhelming, inconceivable, at a scale beyond any emotion you have ever experienced, yet so too does His love, even greater and more consuming. If you repent, you shall be forgiven. If you love God, He will grant you everlasting peace.
This was only a minor sin, after all. He's not mad, just disappointed. ]
[ status effect: if you do or say shit in service of God or just pray from now on you get boosts to all areas of effectiveness and even possibly Divine Interventions. you, too, can become a monster who rolls only 6s. if you do stuff to deliberately go against him, you're fucked!
