[ When you insert the key and open the door, you'll find the room inside looks like the living room of a mansion. There are several doors, but one in particular stands out to you: it is ornately decorated, the very door's wood itself carved beautifully with gold etched in to make luxurious patterns depicting what looks like the sky and the wind blowing through the grasslands. Though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent.

The room is painted baby blue and a gold-plated cradle sits in the room. Inside, a baby cries - high pitched and noisy, though immediately a nurse comes in to rock the child back to sleep. ]

[ In the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 sits on a chair, smiling at you. a golden retriever is curled up beside her.

This is your little girl. you couldn't help spoiling her, honestly - after all, she's a noble too, and she should like to become a princess as well. She deserves it! But you also know, with how your history's gone, she's going to have to work to get to the top. Still, you have faith in her - she's your girl, after all. ]

Can she find something of worth in all this ugliness? Her interest has been distracted, but away from something she finds pleasant. She was shaken by what she saw. I don't think we should just discard that, something in it resonated with her and help meaning or she would have simply averted her eyes.

Right. I didn't suggest doing either of those things. I just think maybe the problem is that she's dealt with everything by creating art, and since she doesn't know how to fix what she's upset with now that way, she can't figure out what to do.

Then we ought to find another way to address what she was upset by. The issues at hand are the plague-bearers and those that turned against her from jealousy. The guards are handling any negative consequences of the latter, but do nothing to heal the emotional wounds.

There might not be a way to address the problem with the plague-bearers directly. If I'm right about the situation there, this society has enslaved them and justifies it to themselves by acting like they deserve it. Nothing we can say or that she can do is going to fix that.

She has a good bit of status and attention. If she wishes, she can raise awareness, though doing so will likely earn her ire. But having achieved fame, is there not value in using it?

Both we and her should learn more about the actual situation before doing something that draws that much attention.

Of course. If you are going to speak out, you ought to know what it is you are speaking of. Then shall that be our course of action?

That seems like a good start.

Should we address her fans, too...? She shouldn't feel like she has to make art out of an obligation to anyone.

If she wishes to make an impact later on it is best to indulge them, odious as it is. We may put out a statement to keep them sated a while, that she feels her old work is getting stale and she is going to to research for a new phase of her work.
