Both of these choices are BAD. Death especially but--military means being drafted back in to maybe die somewhere. Canon fodder. (not that she knows what a canon is.) But... maybe, if you joined the military.... there would be more Plague Bearers, and maybe other political prisoners like you, since they evidently fought beside them before.

Could we raise an insurrection from within the ranks? Or should they try to see if they can't bribe a guard to get them out?

He's been pacing the perimeter of the cell as well, trying to put together a puzzle they only have a few corner pieces for. ]

This level of technology seems strange compared to what we've seen here already...

That's the Producers, for you. Although, I suppose--it makes sense, for the capital, where the palace is, to be outfitted with more conveniences and advances than less important areas. This is, after all, where the King and his family reside.

What do you make of the option we've been left with?

Far from ideal. We'll be at their mercy for an unknown length of time, and there's no telling what that will entail.

However... it will also give us unprecedented access to the other victims.

Their captors could find some way to try to keep them apart from each other and/or the other conscripted fighters, but but it would make their ability to work less effective. ] It might also give us an opportunity to see what, or whom, the nobles have been using their so-called "Plague Bearers" to fight against. [ possible allies? hard to say yet ] At any rate, we have more chances out there than in here. [ of... escape, allies, mutiny--whatever ends up being the best route. ] What do you think the odds we're under surveillance right now? [ CAN THEY ACTUALLY HEAR US, ARE THERE CAMERAS. lookin... around... ]

Almost certain, assuming they're not fools.

But considering they've cuffed, trapped, and de-powered us, it's possible they're too arrogant to think it's worth their time. After all, they don't see people "like us" as people at all.

That's going to make things a lot more complicated for concentrated efforts, but--honestly, that makes going out to the military an even more attractive possibility? even if there might be potential eyes and ears on them out there, there will be considerably more chaos, more opportunities to interact--and they won't be stuck underneath the laser focus of a camera inside a tiny box of a room. ]

Then we take what's been offered to us.

There is a fffzt on the speaker as it turns on, and then someone speaks from the other end.

The door opens, but there is none in the stark-white hallway.

The path is pretty straight - there's literally no one greeting you here lol, though there are several speakers and buttons if you want to press them.

Soon enough, you reach a juncture. You could go left, right, or straight.
