I wonder if that doesn't happen anyway. You saw how Sunshine fought in the end against 99. It was like he'd forgotten all of his sorrow and anguish for Bad End's suffering. He said it himself before they started--that he didn't want to fight him. He even laid down--as though he intended to die.

We may not have any choice once the violence starts, all plans aside.

We might end up facing off against them regardless, depending on who they targeted. But if we don't try to help them, someone who does want to hurt them might.

If we didn't choose Avante, who would you want to choose? The same strategy would also put Wild City at risk.

Their rules state that we have to send someone out to fight. That there are consequences for abstaining. Fighting poorly though--or wounding ourselves before or during the fight so we're at a disadvantage--there's nothing about that.

The point of this game is that there's no easy way out for us, no matter what... they made that clear from the start, of course they'll be mad if we try and find a loophole.

I don't care if they kill me, but I don't want to put everyone here at risk... especially when we don't even know what that might be.
