[ Things are getting desperate, and the dragon is worried...

This time it will get Hurricane with a vengeance. It whips around in order to clamp its gigantic mouth over his body and gives a violent shake, before sending him flying into a nearby tree (+2 damage). Quickly it turns its next attack on Lucifel. The squirrel in Lucifel's hood ducks low as the creature lifts its massive claw to swat him through the air like a fly (+2 damage). As for Ren's shield... it doesn't do much when the roots and trees from much of the torn-up ground shoot suddenly upward around her feet with the intention of skewering her. (+3 damage) . ]

[ trying to get another arrow in right as he's fuckin swatted (13) then he's hitting the tree. owie ]

[He hits the tree with a resounding crack, falling to the ground on his hands and knees]

[It takes him a second or two, shaken by the encroaching corruption, to pull it together again, but he does, forcing himself back to his feet]

[He grits his teeth, hard - launches himself back at the creature again, blades flashing. This time, he hits with a 19, the sharp edges of the knives doing 7 damage]

[Ow! It's fine. It just hurts. She's at like 10 health but she has some very pretty scales covering her legs, arms and face now! Not completely. It looks more like a bunch of patchwork scales. Her wounds would close up again were her body not currently not currently skewered.]

Ah-!!

[She tries to break her feet free, gasping in pain in the attempt. She tries to throw her shield again despite this but it goes too wide and she most definitely fails (7).]

[ Stop, stop-- the dragon thrashes for a moment in pain as more of the nasty knives pierce its body. Mouth opening, again that same, piercing sound fills the air.

It rocks you to your core, reaching inside of you to squeeze away any hope or happiness or light you have left inside. There's nothing beautiful in this world. [ The dragon focuses it's next attack on Hope. It swipes at the base of the tree, breaking it...clear in half. The resulting fall and throw will leave her with (+2 damage). And Lucifel doesn't seem to be doing much better. Charging after Lucifel it moves to attack him once again. It's claw pounds the ground and like Ren before, dozens of vines shoot up, tearing through his body like spears (+2 damage) as it charges toward him. ]

[It takes him longer to shake himself out of it, this time - longer to shake off that feeling of failure, or nothingness, cutting too close to things that are buried down deep anyway]

[So he takes a wobbling step forward, and then another - picks up speed, gradually at first and then more intent. He kicks off with the dragon leg, darting in with a 29 to slash at the vines that make up the creature's throat for 7 damage]

she's rolling out of the debris and attempting to throw another bomb at the dragon, but 1d20+4 = 12 that does not... happen.

Ah- damn it-!!

[Look, dragon, you got her to swear. She never swears.

No one tell her dad, okay.

ANYWAY. She bolts to where Hope has fallen from the tree and tries to catch her (and take the damage onto herself). Her HP is starting to get a little dangerous (8) but it's fine. She will survive somehow.

She throws her shield at the back of the dragon's head as it charges at Lucifel and it just bounces off (12) probably. Rude.]

[ Hurricane doesn't miss. The creature thrashes with the last blow, releasing a bellowed roar. It’s body creaks, miasma pouring from its many wounds. It lifts into the air, the smell terrible but rapidly lifting as though carried by a breeze and dissipating. In pain, it writhes on the ground, roots, and flowers breaking apart and snapping, disintegrating into dust.

It whines in pain, the sound difficult to listen to as the earth that had become so twisted into the shape of a dragon slowly falls away.

. . . Revealing beneath it an otherworldly white dragon. The giant creature breathes heavily, exhausted and strained. It lies still as the last of the corruption covering it melts away. It takes several minutes. After a number of deep breaths, it’s head turns and blue eyes focus upon the party below.

Unlike before, the creature in front of you now carries with it no ill will. If anything, there is a sense of gratitude in the air. Though perhaps it is still somewhat disconcerting, as slitted eyes pierce you as though looking into your very soul.

After a moment, it lowers its head and releases a huffed breath against the party, eyes closing, as though a sign of thanks. Rapidly... the effects of corruption that had been affecting everyone earlier begins to fade. ]

Oh thank God.
