[ That gorse catches her eye right away; she spent far too long on LiliS not to be intensely attuned to flowers as symbols. But gorse was... another name for the ulex plant, which was.... humility? She's not certain if that really fits Izanagi or not.
But first things first: responding to the attendant. ]
"...Mmn, my best demonstrations are done with a weapon in hand—and I prefer not to show anything short of my best. Unless you can provide at least a staff...?"
We've got props of just about everything back there, if you'd like to clear a space and do a demonstration! And of course you can move anything you don't need back there, too.
[And then they pause, peering a little more closely at her.]
I’m not really sure what they are, but if you ask me, something like that must be really precious to someone. You should try taking good care of them, you hear? I’m sure at least one person out there would be grateful for it. Or maybe... that’s what I’d like to hope, anyway.
(( pretend like there was no Izanagi consideration earlier. moving on!! ))
Certainly I will. Places like this, and the things we find in them... they are always quite precious.
Might I ask, though—about that flower? "Humility" is its traditional meaning, but that's an odd combination with the stage. Does it mean something else, in your tradition?
Somewhere, a bell rings, and the gorse plant - now moved next to the attendant and wrapped in fabric by Alexander - seems to be beginning to push its way out of its pot...]
[ womp womp. well, she'll take it with her all the same—and returns, breathing a touch harder. ]
...No such luck.
Perhaps I ought to take that with me? It seems like it might interfere with your stage if allowed to continue as-is, and I can search for a more suiting plot of land.

...Say, are those Fragments?
Re: STAGE
Do you mean the gems of this brooch? If so, as it was a... gift, I cannot say with certainty.
What is a "fragment"?

[Scratching at their head.]
I should really brush up on my flower facts.
Re: STAGE
[ she dips her head, then ]
I am called Amaranth—or General Amakusa, among some. May I have your own name?
Re: STAGE
[Bowing.]
The name's █████!
[He makes all the gestures and movements of saying a name, but nothing is heard.]
ok apparently Emet already did his thing but [waves hands] timelines
I assure you, the honor of your hospitality is mine.
My companion and I— [ she indicates Alexander ] —were considering seeing what your backstage has available after all. May we enter?

[ a pause ]
Might I see to that plant of yours? I do have some experience with growing things.

a butter knife!
All other food items that might require cutting are already pre-cut to bite sized pieces. Isn't that so convenient?]

Re: STAGE
It isn't being properly cared for, if it has broken through the pot like that—and you with no tools for gardening.
I can try to cut back some of the roots, if you'll allow it, but this dull knife is at best a mediocre tool for the job.
