Actually no. You are all simply cagey.

The Exarch. Persephone. Lucifel. Dante. Even Thancred. A bravado you wear, tough or demure, but such strength lies underneath. Worries you would not share with others.

I have been trying since I started with Persephone, and I believe I have middle little to no progress. I am seen in a neutral light at best.

You will have to take that first step as terrifying as it is. And you will get hurt from time to time when you open your heart, but it seems you have experienced nothing but disappointment. That we can hopefully change.

Persephone is a tough nut to crack. Of course, he has his share of troubles, too.

I'm sure I still have a long fight ahead of me. But even this little push should stop him from sinking any further. It was dire there for a while, you know?

I will admit I once I read the book I was more than a bit worried.

[He looks around the room.]

There are not many rooms upstairs but ones that are probably more comfortable than this if you would like me to take you.

[He shakes his head.]

My place is here - for now, at least. Much like the others stayed at their posts, so will I.

However, if you would like, I can end this dream for you now.

[He holds up both journals.]

I have some light reading to do and I imagine I can go back and gather more books should time permit.

And you can simply rest. But I would like not to leave you alone if I can.

I can bring you any books you might want, if that's what you wish. In the end, this is all the result of my wishes pushing things along, here and there.

Although I won't be able to bring you the others' books. Those are for their eyes only.
