[ now that it's broken he's putting back the pliers, picking up scissors instead. They're (probably thankfully for Five) much sharper than just regular scissors, though, able to sever skin and flesh and take that finger entirely off.

While Five may be distracted from the hunger at the moment -- it will only intensify after that. ]

[ That is Not Good. He's giving the idea of eating his own severed finger more than just a passing thought and even then the only reason he doesn't think he'll go for it is that it wouldn't be enough.

This might not have been drawn out torture but it certainly hurts regardless, and it doesn't help that now he's feeling more hungry than ever. It's enough that he's having a difficult time even focusing on what he was doing before - what did he want to see? Does it matter? he really just needs to eat. ]

[ Thankfully for Five -- with a wave of his hand the wound seals. So he's still out a finger but it's not causing the same pain as before, and Absinthe pockets the finger.

He steps back -- and Five's free to move again, but terrible hunger is still present. ]

[ He does get up, and the wound being sealed helps — somewhat. He's remarkably unconcerned about missing a finger despite everything, and really being unable to move was more effective in distressing him than cutting his finger was.

But there is the hunger, and the more he wait the harder it is to focus on anything else ]

[ He hopes he doesn't have to cook because he really doesn't have the patience for that now. And since he's got the crowbar he has nothing else to say to him - he'll head straight for the kitchen, emet's room can wait after he's eaten ]
