[He should honestly back off and he knows that, but this is Ardyn and despite Luna wanting him to be civil, to let everything that happened be in the past, he can't. All he can think of is the train and the memory he had of how much pain he had been in knowing she was gone, knowing he had taken Prompto somewhere too.]

[ Absinthe opens the bars of the cell -- his movements are odd, too-quick for a normal human, and he's abruptly moving to grab for Noctis's face and tilt his head back. ]
[He can’t do a whole lot but let his head be tilted back, leaving his throat uncomfortably exposed. It startles him so badly he drops his kitchen knife]
Hey- [He grabs him on instinct, his hand grabbing for his wrist. The last time he tried grabbing him he’d been puppeted.]
No- [He won't beg him not to do it. No way in hell would he ever beg Ardyn for anything. He wishes he could jerk his head away, push him - anything, but he can't move. All he can do is stare at him, the horror of the situation making his heart hammer inside his rib cage. He keeps his mouth firmly shut, glaring at him. Ardyn will have to force him to open it if he wants to cut out his tongue.]
[ Noctis will find his own mouth opening against his will, and even though it's not neccessary Absinthe will still be holding his jaw as he does. with his other hand he'll be grabbing some clippers from the shelf against the wall, snipping them oh-so-ominously. ]
[He stops glaring when his mouth opens on it's own, eyes wide with fear. He couldn't take this back. As Ardyn held his jaw open, he couldn't move to stop him. The clippers would have made him flinch if he could move to do so. He thought he'd been afraid when he'd been stabbed in the back, made to die by his ancestor's hands.
This was a different kind of fear. He couldn't fight or struggle against this any more than he could have in the other room. His heart was still hammering in his chest and it felt like it might fly right out of it or cave in on itself. It was still beating, unfortunately and all of this was very real.]
[ he can't help but laugh, at his expression -- it's obvious even with the mask on that Absinthe is enjoying this, seeing his descendant's fear and anxiety. he's keeping that tension up for a few long seconds more before those clippers rudely shove their way into his mouth, the clippers setting firmly around his tongue before they clamp down and sever it entirely. ]
