Nemesis Heart - R3
[The first time you try to open your eyes, there is nothing but red.]
[Questions bubble up, voiceless:
What will you keep?
What will you change?
What will you do?]
[And then your eyes open.]

Re: KABUKICHO
[He guesses he will....check out bars and shops. See if there's any Cool New Thing to help him calm down.]
Re: KABUKICHO
Re: KABUKICHO
[I will go with this. Fuck yes, let's look at flowers and make make some flower crowns because it keeps his hands busy and its not like flower crowns can HURT, right?]
Re: KABUKICHO
[But yeah unless he pricks himself on a thorn he should be fine.
A tall, leggy girl of indeterminate age cocks a dark eye at you from her spot leaned up against the wall in front of the displays. There's a long, red axe strapped to her back, and her pink undercut is topped with a flower crown of white and yellow camellias. When she turns to give you a lazy, fangy grin, your insides feel a little goopy, like one of those lava cakes they sell at the pizza delivery.]
["Don't get that many visitors in here. What's the occasion?"]
Re: KABUKICHO
[That-]
[Is unexpected. I mean, girl with an axe, yes, that is his jam, but he usually doesn't get hit this fast.]
I couldn't tell you exactly. A Game, I think.
Re: KABUKICHO
["Oh really?" she drawls. "You gonna win it, then?"]
Re: KABUKICHO
That's not really my goal right now. I'm not even sure what the win is.
But it seems like Nemesis is hurting, so I think helping her is the goal.
Re: KABUKICHO
["What exactly're you trying to do?"]

Re: KABUKICHO
Re: KABUKICHO
I'm not saying I see her that way. But its pretty clear her own self worth is basically garbage.
Helping her see things more as they are, that she's got worth and use and is important to people, so she can believe it, that'd be the idea.
Re: KABUKICHO
Re: KABUKICHO
So you'd be her sense of self worth at the moment?
Re: KABUKICHO
Re: KABUKICHO
....do you know why she doesn't? What makes her so afraid to be selfish?
Re: KABUKICHO
Re: KABUKICHO

Re: KABUKICHO
...I guess? Like I said, that part's not really my department. Fuck 'em, do what you want's more my general MO."]

Re: KABUKICHO
Because being tired, whether from wasted effort, or fear, that's gonna be two different things. Wasted effort may just need reassurance. Fear could be a really intense ride and it's good to know which. I mean, I'm still gonna help, but nice to know what to be ready for.
Either way, the fact things are like this means there's a deeper issue.
