[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.

Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color. Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of beach-ready clothes fitted exactly to your size.

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

Would you say this is more or less efficient than using a potion?

It will be efficient in the sense we will not need to keep potions on our persons. However, it is too soon to say how much energy, magical or otherwise, this requires or how long it lasts. Start a memo so we can track duration, energy usage and any possible side effects.

[Once the legs have fully manifested he'll go ahead and stand, walking in a couple little test circles and jumping a few times to see how sturdy his new land legs are]

How does it feel?

[Rocking back and forth on his feet, standing on one foot then the other before lifting one leg to bend his knee and wiggle his toes]

Balance is stable. Footing is fine. They seem to have full functionality and control. The appearance is passable. As for side effects, no fatigue or lightheadedness. No soreness or ache in the muscles. Temperature appears normal.

[Goes to straighten his jacke-]

Second order of business, obtain something more appropriate to wear. Something with pants.

There appears to be a department store in this city, but it may follow the same restrictions as the online points shop. Which is to say, we may be limited by our assigned aesthetic unless some other unit has the clothing we require.

Even if we don't have access to that information as of this moment, surely something more to our tastes exists.

That does bring up the matter of currency, and our nonexistent funds.

We have no choice but to either figure out a marketable skill....or host a "live" then. Easy enough.

[Looking over what outfit Jade has managed to scavenge from his closet]

Except for the matter of we first have to meet everyone in this dorm. Which is fine, information has its own value afterall. If we are expected to live and work with them, we would be best off learning who we are dealing with anyways.

[ He's wearing a gauzy cover up robe and a sarong, which is the most modest anyone can manage given the circumstances ]

I couldn't agree more.

Thankfully, one of our Lives is in our wheelhouse, and there are a few potential venues we could commandeer— ah, I mean, put to use.

We have our work cut out for us... But at least we have a plan of attack now. After meeting our fellow members, we can go tour the venues. I assume you have already ranked them for us?

I would imagine this establishment already has the necessary infrastructure. We would have to do something about that name, of course.

Something with more appeal. It needs to be provocative, but elegant...a name enticing enough to draw in those who would be nervous about a shop run by a "guest unit".

Now that a name has been established, we'll need to start a shopping list. I doubt any of the tableware in the venue we choose will be up to our usual standard, of course. Same for decor. Business cards will be needed, of course.

I understand the standard of quality we need to uphold, but will the return on investment be worth it?

My concern is the possibility of a deficit.

All new business ventures require a substantial investment. Few new ventures see a return on profit in the beginning. Really though, this whole endeavor is one large marketing exercise, is it not?

Then, is the aim to secure a victory in the aforementioned "special game?"

Yes, I think considering the time frame, that would be a realistic goal.

Then we'll proceed with the estimates as planned.

We should begin planning lives as well. Perhaps a brainstorming session. After we visit venues. There is a cafe, correct?

That is correct. In addition to the Alfred Tea Room, the department store and mall both have food courts, cafes and restaurants.

There is also an amusement park, called Tokyo DismaySea, which has dining options as well.

An espresso sounds nice right about now.
