DINING HALL
The dining room looks as if it once had designs on growing up to be a hotel lobby. The absinthe black marble of the floor has gold in geometric rivulets that flow from one end of the room to the next and the double doors that bookend the room look in want of an elevator behind them. The glass top of the dining table has been laid with places enough for two units to sit and dine, and the chairs and tables are similar metalwork skeletons, all 90 degree angles. Gold globes of light hang from the ceiling above the table, illuminating the room, creating few shadows on the table but casting long ones on the walls that surround it. A record player croons an old jazzy number softly in the background, easily drowned out by voices and heard only in the silence.
. . . There's no one here but you.
Guess there's nothing to do but wait the night out. ]
