[ When morning comes, you find yourselves more than freed from your rooms—you're completely kicked out of the mansion. You may access the twin garden mazes, encouraged, even—there are alcoves in the gardens with flowers wrapping around the gates that are to your unit's color, and upon entering them you'll be able to speak to your unitmates without fear of being overheard, as though there were some sort of soundproofing barrier. You may only enter your unit-specific alcove. There are also plenty of other non-unit specific alcoves for you to enter and converse with someone, but it won't be entirely private—these pockets don't have soundproofing. Players should comment to relevant private threads that are being eavesdropped.

But before you run off to discuss, you'll want to gather around the fountain. Its water's stopped, though rather than any stillness in water you can instead see . . . murder.

The details of each murder, as well as the rules, are available on your phones, and in fact, that and the photos app are the only things you can access on your phone right now. Your powers are off too, although you were allowed to bring whatever items are ordinarily on your person—provided they aren't any weapons. ]

YOU-kai will be herded to the center of the gardens, where the fountain pool is. The victims’ bodies are still on display in the fountain’s water, but the blades that littered the ground—they abruptly turn, honed in on members of YOU-kai.

At once, the water’s surface breaks as tens of blades shoot out from what seems to be the bottom of the pool, summarily stabbing YOU-kai to death—

No, that's not quite right. YOU-kai will find themselves whisked away to another place just in time. However, to everyone else’s eyes, they'll see the members of YOU-kai have their bodies pierced and skewed by the blades, before they're dropped to the ground, lifeless.

The mansion doors unlock. The night begins. ]

[ aether is just staring at the fountain reflection even after everyone has finally moved on to other things, his phone clenched in one hand and remaining at his side. Even if the reflection fades out, he'll still be staring into the water as if there is something to see.

He might be in shock, or he might just be really really caught up over something that's causing him to space out, we just don't know. ]

I suppose the obvious question to ask is "Who did it?" but something tells me they won't let us get away with something that easy.

A GROUP EXPERIMENT

Ah, time's runnin' short so maybe I won't get any takers, but I was thinkin' if there could at least be one bigger group formed for a round or two, it'd give everybody more rooms ta pick from so we don't get on top of each other and get more accidental kills.

So for that purpose I'd like ta grab Master Bedroom, and Billiards, Music Room and pick outta those, if I could get up ta four other units ta join me! I'd prefer ta do this unarmed but ta not leave us unprotected, one of those rooms'll have another unit we've coordinated with that'll definitely have a weapon. SO anybody else picking among those three rooms gets a roulette of danger.

Everybody's got an alibi, or a top suspect if this goes south! A sweeping victim win could be worth it, right?

If you have one unit with a weapon, the other unit they're with must also have the same weapon, otherwise they're going to kill the unarmed unit whether they want to or not.
