Murder Mysterium - Day 5

Who: You!
Where: The Game Tower
When: TBD - Day 5

[ When morning comes, you find yourselves more than freed from your rooms—the mansion collapses behind the last person leaving, completely and utterly demolished. There might be a couple rooms left standing, but . . . you certainly can't have a murder mystery game like this.

The game isn't quite over yet, though.

You may access the twin garden mazes, encouraged, even—there are alcoves in the gardens with flowers wrapping around the gates that are to your unit's color, and upon entering them you'll be able to speak to your unitmates without fear of being overheard, as though there were some sort of soundproofing barrier. You may only enter your unit-specific alcove. There are also plenty of other non-unit specific alcoves for you to enter and converse with someone, but it won't be entirely private—these pockets don't have soundproofing. Players should comment to relevant private threads that are being eavesdropped.

But before you run off to discuss—

You'll want to gather around the fountain.

Its water's stopped, though rather than any stillness in water you can instead see . . .

The details of each murder, as well as the rules, are available on your phones, and in fact, that and the photos app are the only things you can access on your phone right now. Your powers are off too, although you were allowed to bring whatever items are ordinarily on your person—provided they aren't any weapons. ]

Or that it's the same unit that brought down sensitIV, since we didn't execute anyone for it. Maybe we should be asking them if they were in the same room together just to be sure.

It looks like ZRAEL didn't make it in, so that's at least one room that wasn't getting bombed - the Conservatory. Although besides the Master Bathroom being bombed by both 10IV and necROMANTIC, it would be entirely possible for a unit to go to the room they were supposed to bomb and throw it into Billiards instead.

...Well, assuming almost everyone went according to plan, at least. We might want to see which units spent the night together if nothing else.

Could they - presuming this wasn't a horrible accident - have killed both units from the same room, though? There's nothing ruling it out, but there's absolutely nothing to suggest that it was the same unit both times. And if it were the unit who killed - who targeted sensitIV? Even if they were after the - Seven Hells, this is absurd! - the Serial Killer win, they would only have had to attack one other group to qualify. There's nothing to indicate that the victims were in the same version of the billards room.

There's something else, though. There's no motive. There isn't even a space where it should be.

Based on my understanding of the rules at least, if it was the unit that killed sensitIV, they only needed one more kill - however, if LiliS and avante ended up in the same room, the explosives would naturally kill them both. Alternately, the unit who decided to throw the bomb wasn't the one that killed sensitIV, but knew that most of us were planning to be in Billiards, and decided to see who they would get. In that case, you could make an argument for only a Killer Win, but again - we all agreed to stay in Billiards. There was a pretty good chance that by throwing the plan off, it would result in multiple units dead.

But... most of that only matters if we're planning to solve it. We already decided to let sensitIV's killers secure a Killer win. We can easily let LiliS and avante lose so that this culprit can have their Serial Killer win.

It's a compelling theory. It's... I'm just not yet convinced it could be intentional. Almost nothing that's happened so far seems to have been the result of a unit intentionally manipulating the situation, still less actively seeking for others to target. Perhaps 'twill all become clearer once we've asked avante en garde and LiliS to send us their responses. As it is, on both our parts, this is simply speculation.
