Murder Mysterium - Day 5
Who: You!
Where: The Game Tower
When: TBD - Day 5
[ When morning comes, you find yourselves more than freed from your rooms—the mansion collapses behind the last person leaving, completely and utterly demolished. There might be a couple rooms left standing, but . . . you certainly can't have a murder mystery game like this.
The game isn't quite over yet, though.
You may access the twin garden mazes, encouraged, even—there are alcoves in the gardens with flowers wrapping around the gates that are to your unit's color, and upon entering them you'll be able to speak to your unitmates without fear of being overheard, as though there were some sort of soundproofing barrier. You may only enter your unit-specific alcove. There are also plenty of other non-unit specific alcoves for you to enter and converse with someone, but it won't be entirely private—these pockets don't have soundproofing. Players should comment to relevant private threads that are being eavesdropped.
But before you run off to discuss—
You'll want to gather around the fountain.
Its water's stopped, though rather than any stillness in water you can instead see . . .
The details of each murder, as well as the rules, are available on your phones, and in fact, that and the photos app are the only things you can access on your phone right now. Your powers are off too, although you were allowed to bring whatever items are ordinarily on your person—provided they aren't any weapons. ]

Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
I had hoped so, too. For what my opinion is worth, I still believe the majority of these murders were the results of ill-fortune, not ill-intent. Unfortunately, the game itself is set up to make us feel that by rooting out the unfortunate, we're doing something 'good'. We're seeing 'justice' done. 'Tis far from true, but it is terrifyingly easy to get caught up in that. I very nearly did, until I realized what I was doing.
The true culprits are the producers. We can no more blame one another for what's happening, than hold the pieces on a game board responsible for their deeds.
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
But if this is the way all the games will go, Mainstays more than anyone need to band together! Your unit is family... but it doesn't have to be the only family you got, you know?
I just ... want a place for my sister to be looked out for and not have to look poorly at everyone she meets after I'm long gone.
I'm sorry for bundling you in, I know that you all aren't like this.
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
This is a very cruel place for an idealist to find themselves, isn't it?
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
...Yeah.
...uh, sorry, I didn't get your name before. [ but she seems nice and someone you could turn to to learn on. ] May I have it?
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.

[ he almost chirps despite his huffy protest that started this conversation. ]
It's nice to meet you. And... thanks for talking me down to sense.
Heart Soldier Senshi? Wow, that unit seems full of really good people, then...
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
Is your sister here too then, Aether? On which unit? I'll be sure to watch out for her.
Re: gets on the fountain soapbox ledge to throw a fit.
he nods. ] Thanks, it means a lot to me. She's on Wild City.
[ short pause. ] Is ...it ok if I call you Ali?
