♦ I would do it again.
♦ I doubted the devotion of my family.
♦ I feel like I missed my chance to understand someone I still hate.
♦ Getting a friend kidnapped, tortured, and subjected to the worst thing imaginable due to my own irresponsibility and selfishness.

So it seems from the options and our own opinions, we have narrowed it down to: the unfortunate dog that was killed, the person who killed for money, and the person who betrayed the love of their life.
