Well, it is quite unlikely that there will be any lasting effects. There rarely are, in these games.

Just because the effects are not permanent does not mean the effect it will have on you will not be.

Only if you truly wanted to do so, not just to prevent me from drinking it.

It is not just to prevent you, but to also promote fairness. Burdens are much easier to share when they are spread across many.

Likewise, I would not want to always be the person to offer as that is not fair to myself.
