egg raising - Taisho Roman Revolution (Sunday)

[ Your cavern offshoot is still rather spacious, even with a human-sized egg pressed to the farthest cave wall. It's also surprisingly accommodating: the ground here is carpeted with lush rugs as well as pillows and blankets.

The egg is surrounded by a number of colorful smooth stones, most small enough to hold in one palm. There are eight colors in total, though multiple of each color. Hold a stone and you'll be compelled to speak honestly about the corresponding emotion.

You'll quickly find that your offshoot seems to have reduced echo, or perhaps even sound muffling—from here, you can't hear anyone from any other unit offshoot, and you suspect they can't hear you, either. ]

Are we going to get it as a pet because I feel like our garden is getting overcrowded.

Why on Earth should we wish to keep such a creature?

I don't know, I'm just guessing that's what we'll end up with.

[Hmm. That's fair enough, he supposes.]

In that case, you are welcome to keep it or throw it out on the street as it pleases you, but on the note of outcomes of a Game: I care about the outcome if it involves the chance of having to consume food; otherwise not. But since we cannot be sure of the consequences of losing a Game, it is nowadays my opinion that it is generally better to play with the intention of winning.

This isn't forced truth so I can pick and choose what I want to say, which means I'm not opposed to filling in any of these.

But do either of us really know how to make an emotionally healthy person.

[............]

Personally, I see no particular need for the capacity to feel fear or sadness. The other ones have their place, surely.

[Translation: no they don't.]

Jesus.

[ It's worse than he thought ]

It needs to have fear so it'll get the hell out of situations it can't handle and it needs to feel sadness or it'll be one of those assholes who're always like "live love laugh" or some shit like that.

And if it does end up in our garden I'm not dealing with that.

We're giving it one of each of those listed.
untiltheend: (serious . no difference)

That is fair enough. Although as I mentioned to Mr Zero some time ago, I have no memory of having experienced all of these emotions.

Just think of the closest instance in which you did and go for it. I'm sure a cat must have rejected you one time to cause you sadness.

If we're aiming for a win we should probably give it more emotions to make it more well-rounded.
