ROOM 5

When you start off, you find yourself in a hallway with a single door. When you walk through the door, you'll find yourself in a child's bedroom. There's no noise besides the rain pouring outside, not that you can see it considering it's completely pitch black outside.

Ah well, don't worry, there's a lot to sort through. Anything in the photo above are the things you can interact with.

However, to make it easier, here are the things you can interact with in this room:
∙ Mirror
∙ Curtain
∙ Wall
∙ Window
∙ Chair
∙ Floor Lamps
∙ House-shaped Bookshelf
∙ Yellow Ceiling Lamp
∙ Orange Ceiling Lamp
∙ Bed
∙ Corner shelf
∙ Toy chest
∙ Flower Vase
∙ Books
∙ Pictures (red, yellow, green)

I would suffer negative effects to see this happen.

[Though he looks around the room.]

And if it were exclusively BARiTONES in here, I'd be more persuasive about it.

[But he is hesitating because Five and Vergil versus mind control.]

That curious huh? Surprised you'd hold back then.

Possession isn't for everyone. I imagine that is the punishment for failure.

Possession? Not maiming and death?

Guess that's thematic, but what makes you say so?

[And I keep forgetting to mention so maybe it just starts up again right now, but he's doing a bit of see-through fade-in-and-out and glowing periodically.]

It is what I would do would I be running this game.

[Noted, but he doesn't bring attention to it yet. Waiting for maximum asshole moment instead.]

[Thanks buddy. He knows though he just can't see it happening himself.]

Well, if you put it like that it sounds plausible.

Game runners are former peers after all. Thus their creativity is endless.

You consider 'em peers?

Do you really think any of you would have opened up in such a manner to allow such a change?

Did you give any of us a chance to? Could you see any of us as human enough to have?

Or was every fault just further proof we weren't worthy? Always outweighing any good?

Don't think you meant to, but I don't think they'd ever of earned it. What'd they do to lose it? Fail to contain aether dense enough to corrupt a whole star?

You gonna put Five through the same selection? Feel confident he can take on that amount of Light?

The bar is different. Just as I would not measure the worth of a scholar by their physical strength and the reverse for an bodyguard.

Five already passed his test well above expectations.

The act of holding all the light should have been trivial for them.

You're saying you wouldn't judge folks by what isn't their strength, then you can't judge 'em by what your people could do.

I cannot very well judge you on merit, can I? I know I will be disappointed then.

Besides, there is more than one way to pass the test. I am not so close minded.

Re: DISCUSSION

If you mean joinin' your crusade that was never gonna happen, was it?

Or is it something else?

But I'll be clear. I'm not interested in your tests, or passing 'em. It's a hell of a way to go about interacting with people. Putting them through trials of worthiness. Couldn't live like that, myself.

Something else.

I could instead simply cut them down on sight. Though I doubt you'd like to hear the myriad of examples.

It is not as if your people cannot be better. They simply choose not to. And therein lies the fault.

Re: DISCUSSION

Difference of perspective isn't it?

T'you, because of the follies that hold us back, my people aren't worthy. They gotta be good enough to meet your lofty standards.

To me? They existed. That was good enough to think they deserved to live.
