[ You find yourself in your respective unit's zone, with a mini-map on your phone, as well as your objectives:


Kill as many competitors as you can.
Destroy zones by breaking their statues.
Not enough action = We start killing you :)

Underneath the objectives is the number of revivals you have left, as well as whatever miscellaneous details about scoring points—killing a unitmate results in negative points, five units will be healed at most, etc.

The starting horn sounds. Let the games begin. ]

Actually... our group had to fight with someone who attacked me.

[Said a bit hesitantly.]

That's how I got like this. He dropped beams on top of me, but I was able to survive thanks to my Unit's ability.

[Forget the fact that he actually died first.]

Sorry to hear that.

[ And he is, dropping support beams on someone sounds like a crappy way to start a fight. Effective, maybe, but crappy. ...Not something he'd do to a HSS anyway, and probably not to any of the other units either. More of a 'you're under siege by superior forces' thing.

If he knew that Crow also started the whole thing by pretending he was going to help you find your friends, he'd pretty much be beyond disgusted. ]

Thank you. I'm still new enough that I let my guard down and thought he was trustworthy. The fact that my sister - well, he isn't here so I'm sure you can guess the rest.

[He really is having a hard time talking about it.]

[ Yeah, you don't know him well enough to be dropping your guard with him, either, but Lupine just closes his eyes and pushes that thought down. ]

Oh, you know. Compared to some people, it's been a picnic.

[ After a beat: ]

You know, I read the message when the lights came back up. [ AKA when the show started up again. ] I was ready to earn some bloodier points. [ Heh. ] If any of you were up for a fight, I'd take you on.

[ Another beat. Eyes slide away. ]

Not like this, though. [ Wan smile. ] I'm pretty sure I make it a policy to only ever stab people in the front.
