Hunger Games: Session 9

[ You find yourself in your respective unit's zone, with a mini-map on your phone, as well as your objectives:

Kill as many competitors as you can.
Destroy zones by breaking their statues.
Not enough action = We start killing you :)

Underneath the objectives is the number of revivals you have left, as well as whatever miscellaneous details about scoring points—killing a unitmate results in negative points, five units will be healed at most, etc.

The starting horn sounds. Let the games begin. ]

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Drifting from the peaks of the mountains you hear beautiful, melodic whistling. But then...THE SCREAM…

Everyone in, entering or exiting the Mountain's Edge, Abandoned Mine, or Forest's Edge must make the following Endurance check.

1-5: Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaa Aaah

You take 5 damage, and are afflicted by Human Scream (Mental). You have a mouth and you must scream every time you fail any Endurance roll for any reason.. If you scream, everyone in the same area must roll for this event. Despite being (Mental), Human Scream is incurable.

6-8: The screaming is actually pretty melodic too, you think? Loud, though.

Take 2 damage. You suffer from Disoriented (Physical) and lose 2 Adaptability.

9+: You cover your ears, and the human screaming haunts you no longer. However, you're now Disoriented (Physical) and lose 1 Adaptability.

[ NOW THAT SUCKS, he's raising his hand to cover his ears -- but he rolls a 2 and takes 5 damage ]

[9 Endurance. It is not able to prevent the disorientation but at the very least it muffles the worst of the noise.]

What an awful racket...

It's really quite unpleasant, isn't it...

I have a feeling little else will be nice, if this is what we have started with.

It's quite possible the other areas are just as awful.
