Each card has a challenge. If you refuse to perform the challenge, you must take a drink.
If you really do not want to play, you may forfeit. However, you will not be eligible to turn in your score for that session at the end.
No cheating. Some cards specifically ask the player to conceal the card until after an action is performed. However, you may not conceal your card in an attempt to avoid the challenge. If you do, you will be magically compelled to show the card AND take a drink. Similarly, if you lie during a challenge in order to avoid drinks or make someone else drink, you will be magically compelled to drink regardless of what the challenge was.
OOC NOTES
Powers are on, player items are available.
Drinks may be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. All types of drinks are provided, so pick whatever you'd like. Alcoholic drinks may cause loss of inhibition, but that's not magic. That's just how alcohol works.
No significant harm may come to other characters. Minor/sexy injuries are allowed, but if characters try to injure each other for real, they will find themselves magically unable to do so. For example, if a character tries to stab someone, the knife will suddenly (and permanently) turn into a harmless foam knife. Someone who uses a power to cause harm will suddenly find the power stops working mid-strike. A gun fired at another character will suddenly jam, etc.
Submit your scores here.Scoring ends 4 hours after game start AKA 9 PM PST / MIDNIGHT EST / 5 AM GMT. You can keep threading after that if you want, though.
3 winners are individuals who have had the least number of drinks.
3 winners are units who have taken the fewest average number of drinks.
You may play in as many sessions as you like. Choose your best session for turn-in.
Oh? [ She appreciates quantity possibly more than quality when it comes to food, but she'd just as soon stay away from anything gross if you tell her what those are. ]
I'm glad that you enjoyed it. For those who do not enjoy the taste of alcohol, the sweet and fruity overtones can make the drink more palatable. It also pairs well with salty food, which is usually served with such beverages.
[ There might be actual hearts in her eyes right now! And a dazzling smile. You're the best, new friend! ]
[ She munches on a few (with relative politeness and neatness, despite the overwhelming enthusiasm) before answering. ]
Good together. [ Are you a wizard of some kind? After a moment she has the good grace to push the bowl a little more between them, rather than in front of herself. ] Share?
[ Her unfiltered joy when he agrees to eat with her is interrupted by his next words, but doesn't vanish entirely. ]
Really? ...Oh. [ Fidgeting aimlessly for a moment, she tries to put her thoughts into words and, predictably, comes up short. ] I work harder at good company, then. [ Not having much language means lousy conversation, and she's becoming a little self-conscious about it since no one else has this limitation. ]
I know the experience will not be soon, but when you have been in this place for weeks and you get new unitmates - the joy of getting to experience new things with them never ceases.
[ She smiles pleasantly, but in such a way that it's clear she thinks she's being humored. ]
I hope I have that. [ Settling in somewhere, getting close to people, it sounds like all she could ever want. ] I want -- be useful. [ To someone. Anyone. ]
[ Frowning a little, just for a second. That answer isn't what she wants to hear, because how could it possibly be true? If it is, then it might mean she's better off without her memories, and thinking like that isn't something she can abide. ]
But my unit -- ? [ Their units need them, right? And as she is, she's a pointless addition to hers, just a helpless lol girl who can barely speak. ]
Hmmmm. Your unit? Yes, I hope you get along well with them and work together with them. There will be many times where the only thing you will have to depend upon is each other. And you should do your best to assist where you are able.
[ Not bothered by the conflicting answers! Somehow she gets that two very opposite things can both be accurate at the same time, and isn't that just the way life goes? ]
I will! They help me, I help them. [ Ridiculous loyalty comes standard issue, even in her broken brain. ]
That sound nice. [ Having people like that, who are dear to you, always with you -- that's been the only consistent thought she'd been able to keep. Everything else slips away like sandprints beneath a rising tide. ]
Others too? [ Outside their units, she means. It's secondary, obviously, but more people to be close to can't be a bad thing (can it? Maybe it can. Whatever, she's not dwelling on it.) ]
Many people from my home have traveled here, though currently only five remain. And I am rather fond of SensitIV! as well. Many of who you have met here. They are the healers who wear bandages and pale colors.

Though that does not always equate to good taste.

[ And he hands her a vibrantly colored sweet mixed drink. Like a daiquiri. ]

[ Surely there are some pretzels or chips about.
He pushes the bowl over to her. ]
Would you care for some?

Yes. Share.
[ And he takes a pretzel for himself. ]

Oh no. He has seen too many people go down this train of thought to not nip it in the bud. ]
It is not your usefulness that makes you pleasant company.
It is just you - as you are.
