So, would you say that you- she- gave him a reason to move, even if it was tough? If the ideal for him right now is not to have to wake up... What else could it have been that got him to do it before?

I think he's young, like you, and that the world isn't always a great place. Being able to be stubborn and love something just means you still have that fight in you somewhere.
