The body's long since gone cold, but the blood is plenty wet. It's been a while, but not long enough.

...It's probably kind of weird, actually? Then again, this ridiculously fancy room being down here is weird, too.

The end-tables in the front end of the suite are laden with party favors from the bottles on top and plastic bags full of powders and herbs, and lighters and other accessories inside. You could snag those if you wanted to, for some reason? Otherwise, there's nothing else to do here.

When you enter this room, you are greeted by sunlight. Not the oppressive, too-bright rays above ground, but something dimmer and gentler. If you look up, you can see glass and crystal tree roots in the ceiling feeding the sunlight into the room.

The interior of this room is made entirely out of stone, unlike outside. The air is choked with dust and the vestiges of something ancient; it feels like something from a distant age, real and unreal at the same time. In the centre of the room is a stone sarcophagus. The lid is covered in paper talismans.

Kino may not be able to recognise the writing at all, but they can sort of tell that these are supposed to be 'spirit repelling' charms?

Granted, they're also just pieces of paper. They're easy enough to remove. In fact, they look like they were put on quite hastily, so they're not even properly sealing the sarcophagus shut.

Right as they're leaving, there's some sound coming from inside the sarcophagus. The sound is muffled by the stone, but not to worry! The lid slowly shifting to move itself open, ever so slightly, reveals that it's laughter.

"Ehehe...hehehehe, I can't believe it! The boy sure knows how to pick them."

"J-just, give me a moment."

Whoever it is, they're trying really hard to not succumb to laughter completely. There's a small 'heave-ho' before the lid gets pushed open enough for whoever's inside to emerge. It's a...well, she looks maybe only a little older than you, but she may just be a really short adult, too. Her white hair stands out against bronzed skin, her eyes bright like amber. There's a blue veil draped over her head that she's adjusting so that sits right as she climbs out.

"I can't believe someone would come this far only to turn around at the last moment."

She moves to sit on the lid, getting herself comfortable. "Well, if this is supposed to be a world where he has all he desires, and no worries to deal with, then there's no need for either 'hope' or 'anxiety' for the future, yes? Those are what I am."

"The fact that I'm still here means the premise of this world can't hold up, once he acknowledges me. And he cannot deny me to my face."

Are you... a personification of them, or simply a person who represents those things from his past?

Yeah, that sounds about right.
