Skylark's Ideal World | Session 1
Once, there was a maiden...
...who was driven from her land.
Great black stags chased her, and their eyes shone blue.
Monsters scrambled after her through the bush, though they found her not.
Stumbling on a log, she fell and thought to surrender, and end the torment of the hunt—
... ... ...
You're so, so tired.
Why carry on?
... Surely, it's okay to take a break—

Re: CW: Dead body,,,
...It's probably kind of weird, actually? Then again, this ridiculously fancy room being down here is weird, too.
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Well!
Is there anything that looks lootable in the room or should they move on?]
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
And then look for the exit to move on.]

The interior of this room is made entirely out of stone, unlike outside. The air is choked with dust and the vestiges of something ancient; it feels like something from a distant age, real and unreal at the same time. In the centre of the room is a stone sarcophagus. The lid is covered in paper talismans.
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
That seems bad?
Is there anything... other than the stone sarcophagus to pick at here??]
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
It's just that.
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Can they make heads or tails of what the paper talismans are supposed to do?]
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Granted, they're also just pieces of paper. They're easy enough to remove. In fact, they look like they were put on quite hastily, so they're not even properly sealing the sarcophagus shut.

Goodbye!]
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
"Ehehe...hehehehe, I can't believe it! The boy sure knows how to pick them."
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
...Pardon?
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Whoever it is, they're trying really hard to not succumb to laughter completely. There's a small 'heave-ho' before the lid gets pushed open enough for whoever's inside to emerge. It's a...well, she looks maybe only a little older than you, but she may just be a really short adult, too. Her white hair stands out against bronzed skin, her eyes bright like amber. There's a blue veil draped over her head that she's adjusting so that sits right as she climbs out.
"I can't believe someone would come this far only to turn around at the last moment."
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
??????]
Where is "here" exactly?
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
She says this so casually, like this isn't the place where the bad shit got stored.
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Tapping a fist against their palm.]
Then this is where the "answer" should be?
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
[A beat.]
Um. Why...?

"I take it you didn't get an explanation?"
...This is hilarious but also, she only grows more convinced that the child really knows how to pick his friends, eh?
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
"The fact that I'm still here means the premise of this world can't hold up, once he acknowledges me. And he cannot deny me to my face."
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Are you... a personification of them, or simply a person who represents those things from his past?
Re: CW: Dead body,,,
Yeah, that sounds about right.
"The 'me' who existed in reality was someone powerful, and he stands to eventually reach something similar. One needs power to achieve their desires, but having power also means you bear responsibility, too. So you could say I personify those feelings because he considers me representative of them."
