idolpro | Zhongli Ideal World: Session 3

Curling around Liyue Harbor is a mountain range that protects the city on all three sides not bordered by water. It is the perfect place for gods and immortals to overlook the daily lives of those they live to serve. It is also the perfect place for them to find rest and refuge to reflect on the past.

Within Mt. Aocang, there are three places to go:

The Table of the Archons: In the center of the mountains lies a lake, where an island fitted with a stone table, seven stone chairs and seven gold goblets preside. One seat is vacant, but it looks like Zhongli is saving a seat for a special person.

The Guardian Yaksha: High above the treetops and within the shadows of the mountain, you might spot a splash of vibrant color among the scenery. Use caution before preceding.

The Tree of Azhdaha: In the distance, you can see a beautiful tree, towering even over some of the nearby mountains. And it's not just its size that makes it peculiar.

You may also travel to: the docks, the marketplace, or the central pavilion.

[ so childe's going to assume that these 'discrepancies' need to be murdered, because ofc he does. he'll consider himself some more later because selfish. ] Do we want to bother warming up against the Yaksha's or should we just barge into the Archon picnic and cause some panic?

[ A slight lilt to his grin ]

How rusty are you that you need a warm-up?

Ha! It was for your benefit. [ he mirrors his smile. ]

[ BRING US TO THE TABLE OF ARCHONS. ]

Six archons garbed in white sit around the stone table, tattoos glowing on their skin signifying the element they hold dominion over. There is laughing and teasing and some good natured bickering as they share drink from golden goblets. Try as you might, you can only distinctly make out two of them - the short cheerful God of Freedom with large white wings that looks like one of the healers on SensitIV! And the pair of twins electro archons, the demure one sitting at the table laughing behind her hand while her warrior sister stands vigilant behind her.

Zhongli also stands behind the currently vacant Geo seat, golden horns on display as well as a long serpentine bronze tail tipped with a golden tuft. He is also garbed in white robes with arms bared revealing skin similar to black obsidian with gold geometric lines running all the way from wrist to shoulder.

Venti floats over to Zhongli with a wine glass in hand, tipped a bit too high for the intention to drink from it.

Not a god, but there is someone (Alizarin) seated next to the water, taking turns glancing from the jumping fish to the gathered crowd.

[ as soon as the table is in view he uses elm 4 to see if he can't see ~~what~~ who needs to be eliminated. turns to himself after, ] Hydro or Electro?

[ Everyone that is not Zhongli, Venti, or Ei ]

Mmmm, it would be quite the challenge to take on the Hydro archon seeing as that is my element.

[ Childe will notice that his doppleganger does not have a delusion.

Why would he? ]

[ HM!!! ]

[ let's magical girl into electro childe then. ] I don't think she likes electricity. [ smirks. ] We have two of the best elements. [ going to drop his hand to the delusion sitting on his belt down. ] A combination that can only improve this party, really.

Everybody but Zhongli, [ point. ] the Ameno Archon, [ points again. ] and the Electro Archon's sister [ aaaand points one final time. ] need to go. I'll start the party and you finish it up, if you don't mind.

[ strolls himself RIGHT ON UP... and, hm, that should do. going to try to grab the cup from venti. spd 6. ] If you don't mind I'd like to make a toast.

[ nevermind that nobody may know who the fuck i am and why the fuck i'm here. ]

[ It looks like one of the Archons is planning to stop him when Makoto raises a hand and with a gentle smile nods ]

I do not know how you managed to arrive here, Traveler, but such ambition should be reward.

Please, feel free to make your toast.

[ this is bound to go sour, since he should have made some kind of attempt to herd all the required lives aside, but he's just going to have to make do. ] Much appreciated. [ he bows his head as he takes a few steps closer toward the electro twins. ] I had no idea that I, a mere traveler, would ever have the pleasure of meeting one Archon let alone all seven.

So! [ clears his throat and raises his ( stolen ) glass of wine. ]

I want to make a toast to all of you. A thanks, really, for being there and watching over the beautiful nation of Teyvat. There is a saying in Liyue... death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it, ...and while we hate to see tragedies involving our closest friends come to pass it's simply what's got to happen.

[ going to yeet his wine ( sorry venti ) and shoulder check ei spd 7, whip out his electro polearm spd 6, and then i don't know how many rolls i can just keep making but he's going to attempt to kill everybody with his sweeping arc attack... ]

[ Ei is knocked out of range of combat, which is fortuitous because Doppler!Childe takes the opportunity to take out Makoto in the chaos, digging two hydro blades into her. His other strike at the nearest archon is unfortunately a swing and a miss.

With Childe's attack, he is able to injure two more archons, extinguishing Pyro with the brunt of his attack and wounding Hydro.

As for counter-attacks:

Ei is stunned this round and so is Zhongli, but for completely other reasons.

Dendro vines curl around Childe's ankles, as both the Hydro and Cyro archons unleash volleys of attack against him, freezing him instantly and then he just... shatters into pieces.

Barbatos delayed anemo attacks only scatters the ice further to the wind.

Whether that was a mercy of the dice or Zhongli's subconscious at work - Caeli remain unharmed while Childe.

Childe is very dead.

Please hold while that has another effect. ]

[ Not that you have time to worry about this right now. ]

[ no! nonononononono! this is not how he wanted his other self to die, though, ok, real talk... he imagines this is how he would want to die, because what could be better than taking on the archons themselves! but... still... fuck. he morphs his electro polearm into a bow and fires off shots in quick succession, aiming to kill the archons that killed his other self - dendo and cryo - with speed and precision 8 & 5. ]

[ as for the hydro archon, 6, he's going to fling his actual electro bow like a boomerang at you, and hope you die a horrible death. ]

[ Well, those are successes against all of the remaining three archons, and your insane speed rolls (6 and 7) prevent Barbatos and Ei from landing a hit on you.

Zhongli still does not intervene.

However as one giant fuck you from the Cryo Archon of all people, they get a crit success, which means you're taking an ice spike through the thigh.

As this place also starts to crumble.
