Skylark's Ideal World | Session 3
Once, there was a maiden...
...who was driven from her land.
Great black stags chased her, and their eyes shone blue.
Monsters scrambled after her through the bush, though they found her not.
Stumbling on a log, she fell and thought to surrender, and end the torment of the hunt—
... ... ...
You're so, so tired.
Why carry on?
... Surely, it's okay to take a break—

Re: BEACH PAVILION
Gently, serenely, with the same placid expression.
"While hurting him may be inevitable—if that's the case, then I have nothing more to say or give to you."
Re: BEACH PAVILION
[touching the side of his head, mirroring where the flower is in her hair]
Purple--that's for Endings, isn't it?
Re: BEACH PAVILION
That's a 'yes', probably.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Something sure is happening.
"Oh dear..."
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Do you think he's better off this way? Thinking that he can have you, and Lancelot, and Crane. Just one big fucking happy family. Someplace where death doesn't exist.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Death is inevitable. Running away from it doesn't make that any less true. And it won't make the real Fluttering Moon any less dead, either.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
"Tearing this dream apart is the 'right' thing to do. However—I want him to return with renewed will and hope for the future. Even if it's painful, right now."
"Isn't it disgraceful for someone to shatter this world, yet not take responsibility for it?"
The entire time, she doesn't stop smiling serenely. Not even once.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Anyway, I don't have shit to give him either way, and you should know that. Except, there's a real fucking Crane and a real fucking Lancelot out there, and they're both waiting for him to keep the real fucking promises he made them, even if he can never keep the one he made you.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
As if to say, what else were you expecting from her?
"Perhaps it's better to say it's not so much 'a reason to live' and 'hope' as he needs some solace once in a while. You can't make a long journey without rest, no matter what kind of promises you want to keep."
...
She tilts her head.
"You don't consider your company something that can be given?"

Re: BEACH PAVILION
He must get something out of it, or he'd shrink me to stick in a fucking jar or something every time I got too close.

Re: BEACH PAVILION
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Is that fucking relevant?
Re: BEACH PAVILION
"Well, I can't exactly accept that you're going to break this dream without some assurance that he'll be okay afterwards, hm? Is that so unreasonable?"
Which is to say, yes, it's relevant.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
I can't guarantee shit, and neither can anyone else running around in here, so yeah, it kind of is.
Re: BEACH PAVILION
"Not even a promise to spend a bit of time with him after all this?"
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Re: BEACH PAVILION
Were you expecting anything else from someone that has his mom's face.
