❍ Over the course of the heart, characters are very likely to be afflicted with STATUS EFFECTS. This will be OOCly determined by dice roll. You can have more than one status effect at a time, but multiples of the same don't stack.

Roll 1d20 to receive a status effect the first time your character enters an area, i.e. once per top-level.

Each time you move to a different top level thereafter, you can roll 1d10 to see whether the effect lingers (1-6) or fades (7-10).

That makes her laugh, albeit only lightly.

I know. But...also feel like it matters to say? [Because she'll do what she wants, but it's different knowing those wants will be respected too.]

I'm going to see if I can find the source of that nugget smell. [Time to. Investigate! Time to use that lizard sense of smell.]

It is good to hear it from him. But she'll let him go explore.

With his sense of smell, he'll soon figure out that the WcNuggety scent is coming from a trio of paintings clustered together, each with an AlcheMe purple frame interlaced with intricate feather details. At the top there's W hugging a cute li'l octopus plush; below him are C and B. B and C are painted to look like they're holding hands, and if you look real close, you may spy red feathers scattered in their backgrounds.

[Though huh...why are those feathers hard to spot in B and C's portraits? Because he would notice.]

The portraits don't budge.

But from this close, you notice two things:
1. This section of wall is set back very, vvvvery slightly from all of the rest
2. There's a hollow space behind it

[Time to look around for secret triggers for secret doors. Maybe see if those weird red feathers are like buttons.]

If there's a trigger or a mechanism, it's very well hidden. The most you can find are faint seams around that section of the wall. It's definitely supposed to move ...

Is the answer to the secret door to ask because it respects your boundaries or find it myself for playfulness? [Just to check. He enjoys a puzzle, but also the puzzle is his girlfriend.]

If he was expecting one from Tea, she seems to have mysteriously left the area.

There doesn't seem to be a mechanism as such ... but when you touch his portrait, the wall behind the three paintings sinks inwards and then disappears upwards, like a shutter being raised. You have found the CONCESSIONS STAND.

Behind the counter is W, wearing a purple waistcoat and heart-shaped pin. Behind him is a … ball pit? Huh. Anyway, there's a stack of menus for your perusal if you want to order something.

W is a VERY EFFICIENT DUDE and so the nugs and the mocha are ready in a jiffy.

The nuggets are the BEST you've ever tasted in your life, and all six of them are somehow identical in every single way. There's also something vaguely familiar about them ...? Aside from the simple fact that they're nuggets.

The mocha is INVIGORATING, and both smells exactly like Tea does: like toasted marshmallow shot through with chocolate, coffee, and a hint of fragrant woodsmoke.
