❍ Canon abilities MIGHT BE ON —if, and only if, Tea explicitly knows that they're a thing — unless otherwise specified.

❍ Characters have whatever was on their person at the time, including their cell phone!

❍ Over the course of the heart, characters are very likely to be afflicted with STATUS EFFECTS. This will be OOCly determined by dice roll. You can have more than one status effect at a time, but multiples of the same don't stack.

The top levels that require a roll will have a note.

Each time you move to a different top level thereafter, you can roll 1d10 to see whether the effect lingers (1-6) or fades (7-10).

It takes some real effort and strain, and by the time the door finally creaks all the way open his muscles ache.

The hallway ahead is long and dark, with cold sterile lights that flicker on and off. You can't tell where it might lead you ...

But you may be able to tell when your Imeeji abilities stop working.

You take your first steps down the hallway.

There's an alcove on your left.

Inside is a crystal statue of Miya's dragon form in mid-lunge, wings fully spread and teeth bared. Blood red vines tangle around it.

let's see what happens if he tries to tear the vines off the statue and free it]

You're collapsed in a heap in your enclosure, listening to the door open. They think you're unconscious. Sedated. Safe. You're not.

You hear the group of humans trudge towards you. Eight of them, most chattering. They're scientists, interns. One guard, it sounds like. They call you "it" and "the subject" and they're here to take samples of your blood. One is complaining about the broken coffee machine in the break room. Two are murmuring together about how wild it is to be so close to a dragon, wow, it's kind of scary, right — nah, mate, it's tame, it won't hurt humans, haven't you seen the videos? Cold fury curdles in your gut.

It's the owner of that last voice that says, laughing, Watch, I'm gonna take a selfie with it. That leans against your shoulder, bold as brass.

What do you do?

You think you can speak. You're making all of the right noises. But they don't seem to be listening.

Actually, they seem to be flipping the fuck out! A lot! There's panic, shouting, hands beating at you — let him go! The guard raises his gun and takes a shot at your shoulder.

[time to try and dodge the shot and lunge for the guard instead

Imeeji powers are off but who knows maybe his canon super durability will help him if he gets hit (probably not)]

The bullet hits its mark, and that really fuckin hurts, but your lunge was successful. You've got him right where you want him. You can strike. You can make him stop.

You can. You're far stronger than them, killing would be laughably easy.

The others are all running for the closed door of the enclosure, fleeing for (as far as they know) their lives. Your instincts - your rage - urge you to give chase.

[let's give chase then! also maybe they'll lead to an exit/escape route]

Most of them are too busy throwing themselves at the door in a mad panic to lead you anywhere. One yeets a briefcase of medical instruments at your head; another fumbles to load a dart gun with sedatives, their hands shaking.

[shrugging off the briefcase and aiming to knock out the guy trying to load the gun, if they all have to go down before exit search can continue so be it]

You successfully knock them all out -

And find yourself back in the hallway, uninjured but aching where you were shot. Thw vines have crumpled to dust.

[so achey but aw yes vines defeated!]

I'm gonna need to soak in a bath for a week after this.
