You don't have to apologize for that. You didn't feel comfortable before, and why would you? I didn't feel comfortable either, obviously.

It's just really hard for me to get to know someone when that sort of thing doesn't happen. I love your cooking and I love that you take care of people, but I don't want to be -- served. It makes me feel guilty.

Feeling comfortable, or feeling uncomfortable - it isn't really anything like that... Only - I'm not very smart, I think, so those sorts of things aren't the same sorts of things that I think about - ... in comparison to doing the things that I usually do, in that way, I don't really think about those things very much ...

Earlier, too - that was the sort of thing that I meant. But - ... um, whether it's that sort of thing or if it's something else, for being that difficult - I'm sorry...

You're not being difficult. It's just -- different ways of being, I guess. I'm nothing like a goddess, most of what I am is based on instinct and emotions. It might take some time.

Doodle was saying maybe we should do something as a unit, spend time together. We thought about the amusement park... what do you think about it? [ She wants something outside the dorm so Aradia won't be cooking and serving and all that stuff that makes Aliza feel so weird, get them all on level footing. ]

Mm, it's nice there! We go there together sometimes... um, not Doodle and I, but the husband that the two of us share ... If we'd all like to go there, then it's a nice place, isn't it?

[ She has to clamp down hard on the immediate impulse to suggest that they should invite sIV along too, in that case -- because that won't help anything, she already spends most of her time there, and leaning on Venti and Kitsu and Freya won't help anything between her and the rest of the unit. ]

I know hhere's a lot of games, I could win the big prizes if anyone wanted them. I'm pretty good at all that stuff. [ Fighting, athletics, games that require precise aim, all similar skills. ] And the rides can be fun, too.

[ And the food, of course, but that goes without saying. ]

When I go to that place, it's often for the rides instead of the games, but maybe - because it seems that she likes animals, I wonder if Viola wouldn't enjoy that sort of gift - maybe she would like that...?

I like to put them in my room, is all. It's less lonely in there with a bunch of plushies around. A friend won me a whole truckload at the arcade, and some that I've been given from the mail call I keep on my bed.

If people don't like them, I'll give them away. I just like to play.

Oh! Then - if it's something that's fun for you to do, then it should be done, shouldn't it...?

I'd really like to play, but it's fine if people don't want to stand around and watch me knock down milk bottles or whatever. I can see how that would get boring if you don't even like the prizes.

... But that isn't true at all, you know? If it's something that you think is fun to do, then isn't it enjoyable for us to watch you have fun and be happy, too? Even if we go to find other things to do after a while - ... even if it isn't something that everyone decides to remain and watch for the entire time that we're there, there isn't anything wrong with that, right? And -

Even if we go to do different sorts of things, when we meet again to do things as a group ... when we go to ride rides, or have lunch, or when we sit on the train to go home - the fun that you had, and the difficulties that you experienced, and the prizes that you ended up winning ... all of those are things that you can share with us.

And it's the same for us too - isn't it? It's true that it's something that I'm still learning about, but fun things are meant to be fun, aren't they?

[ Still learning about fun? Okay, then! Being so grounded in biology and emotion it's difficult for her to imagine not knowing if something is fun, but she's trying to get it. ]

I guess that's true. Hopefully we'll get to plan it sometime soon.
