For the first thing we just need a feeling, don't we? Something content, calm, that sort of thing. I have a few, but... [ they're extremely personal sometimes, in the sense that it usually involves her being in bed with someone. She doesn't care, but some people do care. ]

But the more feelings we use the better it is. So maybe we should use as many as we can.

[ She makes herself busy stoking the forge fire in the meantime ]

[ Sister... Aliza feels sick for reasons she can't place, feelings where a memory should be. Annoying and useless, so she pushes past it. ]

Here's some gloves, just hold the metal still while I thin it out and do your thing.

Maybe something... routine? Like a comforting cycle or whatever. You know, day to day, things fit just right.

[ Aliza thinks for a bit, and comes up with something to contribute. ]

"Her life was perfectly balanced and focused. She had a goal and she worked to meet it."

[ It's not difficult to think of examples of this, but the ones Aliza comes up with might be surprising. It's a series of herself and other, fighting. Training. Lupine, Caeli, Kitsu, and by herself, with her katana and rope dart. The images may be violent, but the feelings are overwhelmingly positive: total focus, camaraderie, working to better herself, helping others learn to better protect themselves. The feeling of knowing that you'll do all this again tomorrow, and the comfort in that. ]

MEMORY/EVENT 2

One day, though, everything changed. {memory/event2} happened, and her dreams were shattered.

I'm not sure if I have something, but... let me think.

[ Aliza calls up the feeling required for the story, and a new memory emerges. Confusion, horror, shock, the sense that nothing will ever be the same and it's all your fault. ]

"One day, though, everything changed. Someone stole everything from her, her life fell to ruins, and her dreams were shattered."

[ not particularly wanting to bring up any of the memories to this nature that she can think of, dia picks up her phone - it's almost definitely bound to be something less than great given the theme, but she can't let the two of them be the only ones to contribute on a topic like this -

so she buys something, and the bond is -

blank, really. it's not a sense of lacking born from apathy or contentment or even resignation, just - shock. even as she stands there and watches it play, at least in this very moment none of it seems to be processing or registering in her head at all. the memory itself calls up a distinct sense of rejection and heartbreak - it's just a scene of getting rejected at the altar with more steps, after all - but there is none of it in that dia and none of in this one. neither has made it that far yet. ]

[She thinks about contributing the memory she already has, but....]

[She sighs and pulls out her phone instead. And a new memory, but altogether not dissimilar from the one she already had on this subject is shared instead. She at first just looks annoyed at the sight of that android again, but as it goes on, she grows significantly less pouty and annoyed, the way she was with the first one and more...genuinely disturbed.]

[By the end of it, she's quietly clenching a fist at her said.]

EMOTION 3

In {emotion 3} she brewed a {object} that would take the pain away.

[ Not having anything for this one, Aliza pulls up another new memory, steeling herself for whatever it might hold, and... ]

[ It's not so bad, this one.
She feels grief, but determination. Absolute faith in herself and her companions. Not a shred of doubt that she will accomplish what she's said she will, no matter what. ]

[ Of course the content is a bit grizzly, but what else can she expect? ]

MEMORY/EVENT 3

When it was ready, she took it. And for a time, she felt better. She could go back to the things she wanted to do. She could be the person she wanted to be. She could {memory/event3}.

For this one, we need a sense of starting over, I guess. I have one for that.

[ With a bit of hesitation, Aliza calls up the memory of herself waking from hibernation, or whatever that was. In the memory Aliza isn't upset for once, or angry, or anything but content. She woke up without any memories, or any part of herself, and all she felt was a sense of peace, of wanting to belong. ]

EMOTION 4

And then, like always, it got worse. She felt {emotion4} And then she gave up. She didn't want to be better anymore. She wanted to make everything worse.

I've got something for this. "And then, like always, it got worse. She felt overwhelming grief and anger, and then she gave up. She didn't want to be better anymore. She wanted to make everything worse."

[ Making everything worse is, after all, Aliza's specialty. ]

[ She pulls up a memory to fit the emotion required: one of herself committing a massacre in a blind, unfocused rage. In the memory the anger is all there was, but her current self feels an overpowering shame and grief, a rich mélange of hopelessness and self-hatred. It's exactly what the story calls for. ]
